1. Which one applies for Cebu, a metropolis from a metropolitan arrangement? Explain. 20 pts.
- The Metropolitan arrangement best applies for Cebu City as a highly urbanized area that is recognized
as the core city of Cebu province due to its economic value and population density. Being a Metropolis
however would best apply to Metro Manila according to its vast area and amount of neighboring cities
which, is considered being the chief city of the Philippines.
2. How does the barangay benefit from the Philippine Development Agenda 2040 (Ambisyon Natin 2040). 15pts.
- The Philippine Development Agenda 2040 can help barangays by allocating resources, increasing
capacity, and aligning with national goals, resulting in better infrastructure, economic possibilities,
access to social services, and an emphasis on environmental sustainability. It also promotes
empowerment, community engagement, and collaboration, ultimately improving local development
and quality of life if the plan is well implemented and local commitment is strong.
3. What are the needs of Cebu City in terms of facilities and services? 15 pts.
- For Cebu City to thrive as a continuously growing, highly urbanized city facilities such as improved
transportation infrastructure, healthcare facilities, education, waste management, housing, water
supply, public safety, social services, economic development support, tourism infrastructure,
environmental conservation, cultural and recreational facilities, digital infrastructure, urban planning,
and community engagement will surely aid the need of the city and grow furthermore economically.
