JOSFORT FOUNDATION

ORGANIZATION PROFILE

BACKGROUND

Josfort Foundation is a not for profit non-governmental organization based in Cape


Coast in the central region of Ghana. It was registered and incorporated in August 2017.
Its office is sited in Ekon Anweado, a satellite fishing community in the Cape Coast
metropolis, about 30minutes drive from the central business district. The foundation was
born out of the need to curb the rising menace of teenage motherhood in Cape Coast
and improve the living conditions of teenage mothers and vulnerable children.

Josfort Foundation exist to facilitate the complete eradication of teenage motherhood in


the Cape Coast Metro and its neighboring communities through strategic interventions
and support. Among these are:

i. teenage pregnancy prevention campaigns,


ii. economic empowerment and support services for teenagers, and
iii. home care/educational support to vulnerable children.

VISION

A society with educated and economically empowered young women.

MISSION

Our vision is to establish an internationally recognized NGO empowering teenage


mothers with employable skills and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children in the
CCMA to end teenage motherhood.

In the short term, we hope to establish an employable skill training center in


dressmaking, hair dressing and beauty care services, catering, baking, masonry,
carpentry and others. Our medium term objective is to establish a Josfort Foundation
school which will be opened to the public.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A. MANAGING DIRECTOR
1. Manages the day-to day activities of the foundation.
2. Reports to the Board of directors.
3. Reports to other stakeholders.

B. DEPUTY MANAGING DIORECTOR


1. Perform all duties of the managing director in his/her absence.
2. Manages Staff and volunteers.

C. FINANCE OFFICER

1. Manages the financials of the foundation.


2. Reports all financial to the Managing Director.
3. Prepare budgets of programs/project and activity for implementation.
4. Prepare and monitor financial plans for the year/quarter/monthly.
D SOCIAL WORKER

1. Provides all social and legal information on projects/programs/activities.


2. Collect and updates the foundation with current data on the trend of social
and legal issues.
3. Recruits and manages volunteers and field workers.
4. Offers general counceling to project beneficiaries before/after enrollment.
E ADMINISTRATION SECRETARY

1. Manages the office of the foundation.


2. Handles all correspondences to and from the foundation desk.
3. Prepare projects/programs activity reports on demand/monthly/quarterly/
yearly to Managing Director and donor agencies.
4. Acts as public relations officer (P.R.O) for the foundation
5. Manages records on board /staff/volunteer/project beneficiaries.

F PROGRAMS MANAGER

1. Comprises projects and program ideas for implementation.


2. Prepares program/projects implementation in methodology and plans.
