Nice but needs a warning on the shipwrights

I visited Bucklers hard yesterday 27/1/24 with
my new partner we found the place stunning
and very pleasant, that was until we visited
the Shipwrights house and was quite
traumatised by the position of some of the
props being used. My new girlfriend wanted
to leave right away and feed some donkeys…

A historic gem - well worth a visit!

This really is a little gem! The museum is
fantastic- don’t be tempted to skip it. Lots of
information about the history of this
wonderful little village. I’m not sure what I
really expected but it definitely exceeded -

Very enjoyable winter visit

We walked from Beaulieu to Bucklers Hard
on a mid December day. Although there is a
proper gravel path the whole way the rain
had been so torrential recently so it was very
puddle-y!
Super walk though and Bucklers Hard is
interesting re the boats and beautiful…

Winter Visit

A cold winter day but much less busy than
the popular summer days. Plenty of time to
explore the museum and open houses.
Co!ee at the Captains Table was a good
winter warmer and we enjoyed the walk to
Beaulieu and back.
