Hi everybody!

We are Maria Martinez from Jamaica, Maira from Usa and Jackeline from Marruecos. Maria
is 22 years old, Maira 32 years old, Jaqueline 23 years old. Jamaica is north America, English
is spoken in Jamaica and the United States, while Arabic is spoken in Morocco. in both
american countries one of their typical dishes is chicken wings; in spite of their cultural
differences in gastronomy they eat stewed chicken. we coincided in a university exchange
where we were struck by the american cheerfulness and the moroccan reflexive.

Let us talk about the experience of being pen pals. In one of the exchanges we did, we met
and interacted with our classmates, in the outings some of them were with little energy due
to the change of schedule; where we shared with the following activities to learn English,
such as video games, listening to music, watching movies in English, writing love letters.
Today we understand the need to know the universal language of English, as the second
most important language in the world.

When we knew about the challenge suggested by the "pen pals in funny letters" In Morocco
they are very traditionalist in not allowing photographs without consent and footwear when
entering the houses. While in Jamaica and united states, the opposite happens, they are
very expressive, liberated and folkloric in their beautiful beaches. By getting to know each
different culture, we enriched our knowledge of those places, as well as of English; so much
so, that we committed ourselves to visit each other.
Best regards,

Maria, Maira and Jaqueline.
