Introduction
LOCATION
Located in southeastern Brazil, it is the most
populous city in Brazil on the American
continent and in the southern hemisphere
and its metropolis has almost 22 million
inhabitants, it is still the main financial
center in South America. I chose this
destination because it's where I currently live
and I know there are many things I don't
know.
HISTORY
The area where Greater São Paulo is located was inhabited mainly by the
indigenous tribe of the Guaianás in the pre-Cabral period, a people who also
dominated the region of the current Vale do Ribeira. The city's population
emerged on January 25, 1554 with the construction of a Jesuit college (now
Pátio do Colégio) by twelve priests, including Manuel da Nóbrega and José de
Anchieta. São Paulo is the most multicultural city in Brazil and one of the most
diverse in the world. Currently, it is the city with the largest populations of
Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, Lebanese and Arab ethnic origins
