Stress from the working environment is a serious problem with which many company have to cope.

Several employers have an idea that granting employees with membership of gyms and sports clubs will
give them an opportunity to gain a healthy life in both physical and mental aspect, and eventually make
them more productive in their occupations. Nevertheless, other administrators do not perceive that
method will have any advantages. In my perspectives, I contend that doing exercise regularly and better
working performance would induce a positive correlation.

The membership of gyms and sports clubs is objectively a valuable company’s incentive. First, people do
not embark on doing exercise because of lacking motivation; thus, subsidizing them membership of
gyms and sports clubs could give them a practical purpose to work out. Second, practicing different
kinds of sports would assist both employers and employees achieve certain beneficial effects such as
being more diligent and assertive in workplace. Third, working out is likely to be an effective method to
release accumulated stress during working hours. Subsequently, the healthier staff members are, the
higher their productivity would be. Moreover, membership of gyms and sports clubs would clearly be an
economical option to motivate employee to work harder instead of others such as pay increments,
perks, bonuses and so on.

On the other hand, in case employers do not believe that is a great opportunity, there are still several
other options to improve workers’ productivity. For instance, annual performance review combine with
financial rewards can do the trick; and as a result, employees will know their pros to enhance and their
cons to mend. Furthermore, corporation can have an honor award such as “Employees of the year” to
encourage and stimulate certain excellent individuals. Another option could be holding a company trip
so staff members participating in the journey could not only become closer and cooperative to other
colleagues but also reduce their stress level. Hence, their working performance will be better thanks to
the aforementioned valuable activities. Lastly, if corporations only pay attention to make workers more
effective at work, they can consider downsizing whenever there is a redundancy. This choice can help
save up the company’s budget and motivate workers to work harder at the same time.

In conclusion, I believe that offering employers a free of charge membership of gyms and sports clubs is
the smartest choice that a company could apply to benefit both companies and employees.
