1 AIM
The aim of this report is to describe all the detailed calculations that have been carried out to
design preliminary a circular tapered foundation with anchor cage interface for a GE6.1-158
2 SCOPE
The scope is the description of all the necessary inputs, the verifications taken into account, its
results and a resume of the safety factors obtained for each requirement.
3 INPUT DATA
The foundation has been design for the following geotechnical parameters, according to reference
0:
Buoyancy: No
Exposure class: No
* If a wind turbine has its foundation on a slope or near slope, the effect of the proximity of the
foundation to a slope indicated in the regulations or reference guides, will be taken into account in
the calculation of the soil bearing capacity. In the case of very steep slopes, regardless of the soil
bearing capacity value of the terrain, the calculation of the safety against global stability shall be
carried out.

appropriate safety factors and it will be added to the moments Mr of the following tables.
The maximum abnormal extreme loads given at the tower bottom are the following, without
The maximum normal extreme loads given at the tower bottom are the following, including safety

3.3 MATERIALS
The materials used for the calculation and their main characteristics are the following:
Concrete:
Pedestal concrete:
- *HA-50/F/20/XC2
- fck=50 MPa*
- Density: 25 kN/m3
Slab concrete:
- *HA-30/F/20/XC2
- fck=30 MPa*
- Density: 25 Kn/m3
Blinding concrete:
- HL-150/B/20
Steel:
* In a detailed design it must be checked that pedestal and slab concrete qualities are
suitable.

executing a partial cover and/or with different foundation level, it must be studied the
support conditions and determinate the validity of the foundation, and specify the

5.1.2 SLIDING
Factored sliding load case has been considered as it is the most unfavorable one and also buoyancy
force has been taken into account. The final safety factor for sliding should be greater than 1.10.
Sliding Verification
Condition 1: This verification has been made taking into account unfactored shear failure loads and
applying a safety factor of 3 to the soil bearing capacity. The safety factor must be greater than 1.
