HOW TO USE THIS BOOK

The objective of this thoroughly updated (as of September 2020) Self-Teaching Guide is to make high school
and college biology easier to learn, and this book is a great supplement for homeschooling. In addition to
receiving 5 star reviews by college and high school students, this is the most highly rated biology book for
homeschooling! The goal is to make you more successful. This biology book covers the most important topics
in a brief, clear manner. I provide key words and practice tests at the end of each chapter, and a glossary at the
end of the book (at the book’s web page, http://www.wiley.com/go/biologystg3e). This online glossary is as
long as the book and it is for free!! Students say, when used with this book, the online glossary is an incredibly
valuable and useful tool. This online glossary makes studying, reading, understanding, and learning far less
frustrating and at times, even enjoyable. The book organizes, condenses, and clarifies the main concepts and
terms, and it highlights all the primary points needed to fully grasp the material and to do well in any biology
course.

The chapters and questions provide excellent preparation for quizzes, tests, exams, prelims, and finals. This
Self-Teaching Guide has a study section at the end of each chapter where key terms, questions to think about,
and multiple-choice questions like those that appear on exams (complete with the answers) are presented. Plus,
this book is the perfect study companion when preparing for standardized exams in biology such as the
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the American College Testing Program Assessment (ACT), Admissions
Testing Program Achievement Test, in Biology, Advanced Placement Program: Biology, College Level
