1. CHECK COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS FOR ANSYS 2022 R1


Before starting the installation, check that you have everything necessary to perform the
installation, which is indicated in the following sections:

1.1. SUPPORTED PLATFORMS


2021 R2 is the latest Ansys release. The specific operating system versions supported by each
Ansys product can be found at www.ansys.com/support/platform-support.

Ansys 2021 R2 supported platform:

 Windows 10 (64-bit)

1.2.MINIMUM HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:


• Processor(s): Workstation class.
• 4 GB RAM.
• 25 GB hard drive space.
• Computer must have a physical C:/ drive present.
• Graphics card and driver: Professional workstation class 3-D.
• OpenGL-capable.

2. INSTALL ANSYS 2022 R1 STUDENT

2.1. Download the ANSYS software.


You are now ready to download ANSYS from the storage server of the Master’s. Click the
following link:

ANSYS Structural (All modules). 64 bit Windows operating systems.

2.2.Installing ANSYS.
Extract (unzip) the downloaded installation file (ANSYSACADEMICSTUDENT_2022R1_WINX64).
Right-click on setup.exe and select Run as Administrator. (This will run setup.exe from the
extracted files.). Read and accept the clickwrap to continue.

Please check the images below for an example of the ANSYS installation.

In the next screen, select “I AGREE” and then click “Next>”:

In the next screen, leave the default option (or change directory if you want to install ANSYS in
other folder) and press “Next>”:

The installation of the software will begin. The duration of this process depends on the
specifications of the computer.

Once the installation reaches the 100%, you will arrive to the following step. Press “Exit”. At
this point ANSYS should have been installed successfully.

2.3.Troubleshooting

and a description of the error (if possible, a screen shot will be helpful).
