Interfacing Management

Daewoo will ensure by proactive project management and programming that there will be no
misunderstandings or errors as a result of a failure to effectively communicate with other parties.

Daewoo will set up lines of communication with other parties, which will be controlled by a
designated member of the construction team who will report directly to the Project Manager. Regular
meetings will be held with other interfacing contractors to monitor respective progress and any
programme construction implications that may result.

The Client or representative will be requested to hold the regular meetings of the interfacing
contractors which shall be minuted. These minutes will be issued to all directly or indirectly affected
parties to ensure the free flow of information will contribute to an efficient and effective management
of the interfacing works. Proper safety procedures will be adopted to ensure the establishment of
safety in the interfacing area at all times.

Interfacing Works

An outfall pipe and an intake pipe which part of the Plant division scope of work will cross the
shoreline protection as shown in Figure.

Prior to installing the pipes, Daewoo through its interface manager will coordinate to the plant
contractor in order to synchronize both works to the area of interface. thereby saving both time for
work schedule.

Below work sequence will be the flow of the work as the preliminary approach by Daewoo which
will be detailed during the actual work execution together with the plant contractor.

1. Daewoo will arrange all necessary land based equipment to temporary excavate the location to
where the pipes to be laid at shoreline protection revetment. It is understood that reclamation
work is completed prior to installing the Intake & Outfall pipe.

2. As soon as the design level for the pipe has been reached, Daewoo will inform the Plant
contractor for their confirmation and approval.

3. Once the pipes are laid to exact position, Daewoo will restore the damaged part of the shoreline
protection revetment by means of land based equipment.
