How to solve the sample probe can’t detect liquid level in

reaction disk problem of BS-120

1. Request 20 same item testing (any one),click the “stop” button,as soon as all the R1 have
been added into cuvette. Then take out the cuvette manually from the reaction tray. Check the
volumes of the reagent 1 which added into cuvettes are the same or not and whether there is
bubble in cuvettes.

The volumes of the reagent 1

should be the same

2. If the reagent volume in each cuvette is exact the same, and no bubbles inside. Please follow
below steps to adjust the probe position.
1) Connect BS120 and the PC via the serial port cable (RS232). Turn on BS120 and PC as
normal.
2) Double click “NewDebug.exe” to run the BS120 debug software.
3) Change the jumper position of the main board to allow parameter modification as
below.

No.: ZSH-14045- BS120 Version:V1.0

4) Select “Command” and “Main Unit”.

5) Click the “Download parameters” button.

6) Wait until the data stream stops and then click “Mechanical Reset” button.
If all mechanical parts (such as reagent probe, mixing bar) correspond, it means the
connection is established. If not, please check the connection and try again.
7) Click the "Enable modifying parameters" button to allow the parameter modification.
Make sure you have prepared the water in the reagent bottle 1 and new cuvettes in the
reaction tray before you execute the order.
8) Click the button "setup" and you will get below screen,
Please input the password “bs120” in the blank which is marked with 1 and then click
the button “ok” to below interface. Follow the 5 steps below to modify the parameter
which controls the depth of the probe going into the cuvette, the bigger the value, the
deeper the probe will be moving downward.
3. If the reagent volume vary from cuvettes, or bubbles inside. The problem may due to the
liquid system.

Check the syringe, 3-way liquid connector of syringe, probe washer. They may be
broken and leakage.

Check the Lee valve which used to control the reagent and sample.

Check the reagent bottle, There may be some bubble in reagent bottle.

Check the reagent pre-heater assembly, it may be broken.

Check whether customer use the standard reagent bottle, If not, the probe may aspirate
air
