2- Islamic writings, she is thus often referred to by the title "Mother of the
Believers" (Arabic: أ ّم المؤمنينumm-al-mu'minin), per the description of
Muhammad's wives as "Mothers of Believers" in Quran (33.6). as an excellent
muslimah model.
3- She is quoted as source for many hadith (traditions about Muhammad's life),
with Muhammad's personal life being the topic of most narrations. A great teacher
and scholor.
4- After Khadijah al-Kubra (the Great) and Fatimah az-Zahra (the Resplendent),
Aishah as-Siddiqah (the one who affirms the Truth) is regarded as the best woman
in Islam.
5- Because of the strength of her personality, she was a leader in every field in
knowledge, in society, in politics and in war. She often regretted her involvement in
war but lived long enough to regain position as the most respected woman of her
time.
Her Birth
She was born in Makkah, but it is not clear when Aisha was born.
Most scholars calculate her age, by reference to the date of her marriage to
Muhammad (622) and then subtracting her age at marriage. Her age of marriage is
usually given as (9) nine, placing her birth at around (613), but the issue is
controversial and other theories about her age have been proposed. When she
married to Prophet he was about 53, when Prophet died, she was about 18 years old.
He was nicknamed “Ateeq (the free slave) by the Messenger of Allah who said “
Whoever liked to look at a person who has been freed from the fire, let him look at
Abu Bakr.”
He was 2 years younger than the Prophet, came of a noble family. died over sever
fever in illness at age of 63 like Prophet, was buried next to the Prophet.
More than one scholar has said that this verse in Quran were revealed regarding
Abu Bakr
92:17 But those most devoted to God shall be removed far from it,-
92:18 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification,
92:19 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is
expected in return,
92:20 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;
