 K-Span
K-Span is a unique building system and offers a compete system with constant emphasis on high quality, cost
reduction, delivery time and after sales services. It is a complete all-in-one operation due to on site manufacturing of
arch and straight panels made up of high quality Pre-Painted Galvanized Steel Roofing, combining low prices with
fast erection. Steel sheets delivered in coils are transformed by roll, forming it into arched panels that form the
monologue structure capable of withstanding heavy live, collateral and wind loads without the use of columns,
beams or trusses. Clear spans up to 25 meters with arch heights of 8 meters are possible. There is no limit on
the length of structures.

K-Span Building Systems can be used for Industrial, Agricultural, Housing, Institutional, Recreational or
Commercial Building Needs. Used earlier by the US Armed Forces around the world and in over 65 countries. It is
now common in the Gulf area.

Flexible Designs
The K-Span arched panels allows you to build structures to your unique specifications. Clear span building widths can be small or large.
Building lengths and the ability to later expand a building are unlimited, provides you with capability to create self-supporting ground-
to-ground panels with gable, double and single radius designs. Various colors of steel can also be used to enhance the appearance of
your buildings.

Durable & Low Maintenance Buildings

The constructs durable, virtually maintenance-free buildings, because
they are watertight, rust-free and fireproof. Buildings with K-Span arched
panels have been tested for severe weather conditions and can withstand
typhoons, earthquakes, harsh winds and heavy snow.

Water Proof
Arches are seamed together in a totally waterproof joint by an electric
seaming machine. It does not require huge quantity of screws which may
allow the rain water to enter inside the building.

Versatile
K-Span buildings are aesthetically more appealing than the conventional
steel buildings. K-Span arches can also be dismantled and erected again
in any other place without any changes in its shape or specifications where
as it is impossible in the conventional steel systems.

General Properties
Galvanized Steel protected with epoxy and high durability polyester coating. Also available is the Galvalume material which has twice
the life of galvanized steel.

We are also able to work with aluminium coil. The specification is as follows. Steel grade : 400 N/8 sq.cm Thickness : 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 mm
Coating : Zinc, Aluminium, Z50+A150 etc. Paint : Pre painted coils available.

Galvalume offers the best qualities of aluminum coated )aluminized and zinc-coated (galvanized) steels. It has barrier corrosion
resistance and heat resistance similar to aluminized and good bare edge galvanice protection and forming qualities like galvanized. So,
Galvalume will resist rust, the elements and fire while providing a sturdy and protective covering.

Corrosion Resistance
Galvalume, by virtue of its combined protection of aluminium and zinc, has at least twice the service life, in most atmospheric environments,
of conventional galvanized steel with the same coating thickness.

High Temperature Performance

Galvalume steel resists intermediate and high temperatures far more effectively than galvanized steel. Additionally, Galvalume has
excellent heat reflectivity, up to operating temperatures of about 315oC (600oF). This heat reflectivity make a building cooler inside on
hot, sunny days.

 K-Span Installation on Elevated Arch Roofing Systems

1. Raw materials arrive on site in 1.6 to 1.8 tons galvanized or aluminium pre-painted steel in coils
2. The 20 feet K-Span machine is set up on site and adjusted to correct radius.
3. Steels coils are fed into the machine to fabricate straight and curved panels
4. Three – Five arch panels are run out and seamed together on the ground by an Electric Seaming Machine
5. Grouped arch panels are lifted up in the building by a Crane. Two sets of arches are seamed together making a watertight seal
and increasing rigidity of the structure
6. Arch Panels are fixed to a 3 mm thick Mild Steel Gutters using 8mm GL Bolts
7. Urethane foam is injected between two layers of K-Span sheeting to make sandwich panel type.
8. Optional Ceiling hooks are seamed together with the arches for the Ducting of AC, runners for False Ceiling & also for Fire
Fighting Equipment installations.

turbo ventilating systems

The wind driven air ventilators are used because of their low capital costs, easy
adaptability, high air displacement capacity per ventilator and overall reliability.
The air ventilator is designed to withstand a wind velocity of up to 100 kmph. It is
made of Stainless Steel or Aluminium, therefore virtually maintenance free with
a Ten Year Warranty.

The air ventilator weighs less than 3 kgs. This enables flexibility and they can be
installed anywhere on the roof without any structural changes.

Arch Roof System – Elevated
• Arch roof can be erected on steel or concrete structure
• Normal width : 10 meters - 26 meters, can be upto
36 meters for Super K-Span systems
• Height : 15% - 25% or as per design requirements
• It can be used as single, double, and multi span with
equal or unequal columns heights.

Cantilever System
• Span : 3 meter to 6 meter for Single Cantilever (Half-Butterfly)
• 12 meter for Double Cantilever (Butterfly Type)
• Height : Varies from 0.5 meter to 1.2 meters

K-Span fixed on concrete & Steel
structures
• Elevated sheds can be fixed on either concrete or steel
structures.
• Steel arch panels can be fabricated and erected upto
26 meters
• Arch panels are only fixed on both ends and does not
need any conventional supports on the entire span.
