1K sugar workers undergo TUPAD orientation, contract signing

MALAYBALAY CITY --- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)

Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (BukPFO) in partnership with the District Tripartite
Council – Sugar Industry, conducted an orientation on Tulong Panghanapbuhay
Para Sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) and Occupational Safety and
Health (OSH) to 1,000 beneficiaries on January 19,22 and 29, 2024 at Brgy. Butong,
and Brgy. San Jose, Quezon, Brgy. Kuya, Maramag, respectively.

The selected beneficiaries will work for not more than 8 hours a day within 10 days.
They will receive a minimum wage of Php 405.00/day and will be assigned to work at
their respective Barangays. Apart from the OSH Orientation, the beneficiaries were
also provided with Personal Protective Equipment and covered with GSIS Personal
Accident Insurance (GPAI).
