It is late 2016. Heavy footsteps reverberate through the
office as ANNA KAMBLE, a well dressed but evidently Gangster
looking Character, strides in with imposing bodyguards.
Milind, the peon, quickly hangs up the intercom, his eyes
widening in terror. Employees lower their voices to hushed
whispers, exchanging nervous glances. Tension rises and a
clueless security staff makes a subtle move as if to
intervene. But James quickly intervenes and whispers

Dev cowers back wondering what the repercussions will be.

Anna rises from his seat in anger. One of his men charges
forward too. Dev winces, afraid.Anna slaps his henchman,

Just then the door opens and Anushka bursts into the room,
unaware of the danger,excitedly stating, in a single breath

God the butterflies in my stomach it was

 She is in the Court clothes. The henchmen spring into action
at her entrance and draw their guns, aiming them at Anushka
who does not know how to react. Dev, gulps, scared for her.
Anna turns to look at Anushka and immediately a smile blooms
on his face. The henchmen retreat. Anna is amazed

Anushka also recognizes him.
ANUSHKA

She runs and touches his feet. He blesses her.

Everyone sighs in relief. Anna asks Anushka

ANNA (CONT'D)

She nods. He looks at her.

ANNA (CONT'D)

 She says without even thinking. Rajdeep slaps his head. Dev
looks away. Rajdeep jokes throwing his hand in the air

Anna’s gaze stays on Anushka, Father like, as he says

Anushka stares back at him, unsure of what to say next.

A harmonium plays as someone seems to struggle with Raag
Des.The door swings open and Anushka strides in.She is now in
Anna’s Study/Den and finds him seated on a gadda/near the
window sill with his harmonium. He has finally gotten the keys
right and sings a whole line with his eyes shut.He finally
opens them and nods for Anushka to take the seat opposite him.
He asks for chai..

ANNA (CONT'D)

Ae chai gehune...(and then yells)doun

cup gehun...
Anna says Anushka should also learn Classical Music.

ANNA

Kassa (kaisi)aahe re tu
Anushka nods a 'fine'.

ANNA

Tu bhi seekh le ,shashtriya sangeet..

ANUSHKA

Main..?? Mere bas ka nahin hai Anna

bhau...

ANNA

Kaise nahi hai? Yaad hai mere ko, school

mein tera 'Math' bahut achcha tha..Ye

This elicits a chilling laugh from Anna,before his eyes

The sudden shift in his demeanour does not scare Anushka who

Then Anna’s eye go cold, his eyes holding silent threats as he

Anushka realizes the meaning and weight of his words. Anna

hai...wo kya bolte hain...
(quips)"...the ball is in your

Anna smiles and starts singing again..(raag yaman)

DADA’S DEN - PRESENT
A match cut reveals Ankita entering the frame, joining the
Raisinghanis at breakfast. Gayatri beams, pleased to see her
as Sid watches sullenly. Ankita sits down next to him but he
pointedly ignores. Dev and Dolly exchange knowing glances.
Sarla serves sunny side up eggs which Gayatri deems
inadequately prepared,As sarla has over turned the eggs
upside down

GAYATRI

Dhyaan kahan hai tumhara Sarla...?

Sunny side up eggs aise serve karogi
guests ko..? Jaao doorse leke aao!

ANKITA(PROTESTS)

ho?

She puts some breakfast on Anushka’s plate who absent

mindedly thanks her.
Dev pipes up

Dolly shoots him a stern look but he ignores it.
At the name "Dada Kamble," Gayatri stops eating, her
expression darkening. Dev ask Gayatri, casually buttering
his toast,

The family looks awkward. Sid gives her a scornful look.

Dev and Dolly exchange uneasy looks as Gayatri collects

herself.

Just then, Anushka's phone rings from an unknown number. She

answers hesitantly. A deep voice asks,

She mumbles affirmation.

Split screen reveals Dada smugly getting a leg massage.

he announces. Anushka freezes as everyone looks on in.

Dada, Henchmen, Anushka 2 ½ min
Classical Music emanates again. Anushka hesitates outside
the door, steeling her nerves before knocking. But just as
 she raises her hand, the door swings open, startling her.
Two Men stand there with guns. The song continues. This time
its Raag Vrindavani Saarang.
One of Dada's henchmen politely ushers her inside.As Dada
rises to greet her, Anushka fights to hide her discomfort.

DADA (CONT'D)

Yala olakhte?(Remember this?)Choti

thi,to sabse pahila yahi leti thi
Dada se...varna baat hi nahi karti
thi ..

Dada says warmly, offering her a candy.

DADA (CONT'D)

Hey Ghey!(take this)Dada ke liye to

His affectionate tone puts Anushka on edge. Anushka keeps

the toffee in her bag and then says
ANUSHKA

Kuch nahi chaahiye aapse Dada..bas,

Dada looks pained,

He searches her face.

Dada looks taken aback, then chuckles.

He extends his hand to seal the deal. Anushka does a

namaste. He says

ka jaise..maalum kyon? Kyonki iss
Raag mein "ga ani dha" nahin hota !

He laughs at his own joke. And begins singing to illustrate.

Dada's den, usually the set-up for threatening words, now
resonates with the soulful sounds of a Harmonium accompanied
by the singing of Hindustani Classical raag. Dada, eyes closed
and playing the harmonium with precision, sings an entire line
of Raag Bhopali. Dada opens his eyes now and nods at the only
audience in the room – Anushka. She sits, patiently listening.
Dada makes a light-hearted remark

Anu affected by his words as he knows what might convince her
