Dear Parents/Carers
Thank you to Maple Class for treating us all to our first Class Assembly of the year. It was an informative and entertaining assembly which was very much enjoyed by all those who attended. This week has been our French Focus Week and has seen the children involved in a variety of learning linked to France. They have learnt about different places in France, listened, spoken and written French. Some Year 6 pupils spent a busy day in Boulogne as part of the Burford Partnership Foreign Languages work. The week has come to a celebratory end with the whole school visiting our very own French Caf! It is incredible to think we have come to the end of our first term. I would like to thank all the staff and volunteers for their hard work and dedication and the children and parents for fully engaging in and supporting the curriculum activities. I wish you all a restful and refreshing break. Carol Phillips Acting Headteacher

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the SCPA and all the families and friends of the school for their support in helping raise funds throughout the year. We are, therefore, delighted to announce that we have taken delivery of a new cooker and dishwasher in the Rainbow Room. All the children will hopefully soon be cooking and who knows we may have some budding Masterchefs in the making! If you would like to volunteer to help run regular cooking slots with small groups of children across the school and are available on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons please let me know. We would also like to thank Helen Keen and Presentation Gifts (presentationgifts.co.uk) for their kind donations.
