1. What is Family Planning?


 The term of family planning is a strategy that involves taking actions to manage when and
how many children you produce. It also involves using contraception or other birth control
methods to limit the number and spacing of children in a household.

2. What are the methods of Family Planning and their uses?

 Listed below are various family planning strategies and how they're used:
1. Implants
- Thickens cervical mucous to blocks sperm and egg from meeting and prevents
ovulation
2. Monthly injectables or combined injectable contraceptives (CIC)
- Prevents the release of eggs from the ovaries (ovulation)
3. Male condoms
- Forms a barrier to prevent sperm and egg from meeting
4. Female condoms
- Forms a barrier to prevent sperm and egg from meeting
5. Withdrawal (coitus interruptus)
- Tries to keep sperm out of the woman's body, preventing fertilization
6. Calendar method or rhythm method
- The couple prevents pregnancy by avoiding unprotected vaginal sex during the 1st
and last estimated fertile days, by abstaining or using a condom.

country’s needs
