ORIENTATION

""Once upon a time, on the north coast of Sumatera lived a

poor woman and his son, who called Malin Kundang. His Father
eventually died, and his mother lived alone as a poor old
woman.
Malin Kundang grew up as a skillful young boy. He always
helps his mother to earn some money.

One day, Malin Kundang decide going to overseas and

promise to come back.
After several years had gone, Malin kundang finally decide to
return to his village.

Malin become rich Merchant. And he married with a beautiful

woman, but his wife didn't know Malin's real family an
descent."

Malin Kundang's mother sat alone in the pier. Her heart was so
hurt, she cried and cried.
"Dear God, if he isn't my son, please let him have a save
journey. But if he is, I cursed him to become a stone,"she prayed
to the God.

lighting storm came.
Malin Kundang's large ship. He was thrown by the waves from
