The Health Plus Plan
Improving and maintaining your health is a journey that’s different for
everyone. That’s why Microsoft offers a variety of benefits to help you
and your family live a healthy and happy life.

The Health Plus Plan is designed to supplement your local medical


coverage. If you are enrolled in medical coverage through your local
Microsoft plan in participating countries, you are also eligible for the
Health Plus Plan. That goes for your enrolled dependents too. Coverage
is for care received in the country where you’re employed.

When coverage begins


The Health Plus Plan covers employees and their enrolled
dependents starting 1 October 2020. For new hires after that date,
coverage will begin on the same day as your local medical plan
through Microsoft.

Any medical expenses incurred prior to 1 October 2020 are not


eligible for reimbursement under the Health Plus Plan.

Important! If you or your dependents are not enrolled in a


local medical plan through Microsoft, you are not eligible for
the Health Plus Plan.

Plan features at a glance
The Health Plus Plan covers several distinct categories of health
care treatment and services, each with its own limit. Some of the
limits are per calendar year, while others are lifetime limits or
per condition, so be sure to make note of that when reviewing
your coverage. All coverage amounts are in US dollars.

Fertility treatment $50,000 (lifetime limit per family)

Autism and other developmental disabilities $25,000 per calendar year

Cancer and other serious medical conditions $500,000 per condition

Congenital conditions and birth defects $500,000 per condition

Reconstructive breast surgery resulting from cancer $50,000 (lifetime limit per person)

Transgender treatment and services $75,000 (lifetime limit per person)

Weight loss surgery $100,000 (lifetime limit per person)

Total maximum plan benefit $5,000,000 (lifetime limit per person)

How the Health Plus Plan works
