CURRENT, NON-INTEREST BEARING BANK ACCOUNT WITH AN ACCOUNT NAME
BARANGAY _______________ DISTRICT SORSOGON CITY SK OF SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN—
BARANGAY ______________ AND DESIGNATED SK CHAIRPERSON _____________ AND SK
TREASURER ___________ AS THE OFFICIAL SIGNATORIES AT (Name of the bank, same bank of
your Barangay), SORSOGON BRANCH.
WHEREAS, p.2 of joint Memorandum Circular No. 1 S-2019, of Department of Budget and Management
(DBM), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Youth Commission (NYC), consistent
with Section 20 (b) of RA No. 10742 states that, “the SK shall open a current account in the name of the SK in a
bank preferably government-owned, situated in or nearest to its area of jurisdiction, with SK chairperson and the
SK treasurer as the official signatories. For efficiency and economy purposes, it is strongly encourage for the SK
to open and maintained a depositary account in the same bank and branch of its barangay. In the opening of the
account, the provision of department of finance department Circular No. 1-2017 dated May 11, 2017 shall be
strictly observed.”
WHEREAS, Sec.2 of DOF Department Circular NO.01-2017 provides that the LGU’s are allowed by law, rules
and regulations to retain income and/or for operations and/or working balances shall deposit and maintain
government funds with any of the following banks; A. Land Bank of the Philippines; B. Development Bank of
the Philippines; C. Philippine Postal Savings Bank; D. AL Amanah Islamic Investment Bank of the Philippines;
E. United Coconut Planters Bank; and F; Philippine Veterans Bank;
WHEREAS, p., 3.2.3. of Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1S-2019, of Department of Budget and Management
{DBM}, Department of the Interior and Local Government {DILG}, National Youth Commission {NYC} state
that SK Fund shall be deposited by the Barangay in the current account of the SK not later than five working days
after crediting the monthly internal revenue allotment {IRA, share of the Barangay consistent with the rules and
regulations issued by Commission of Audit.
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of honorable (SK KAGAWAD 1) and seconded by Honorable (SK Kagawad
2) it was, RESOLVED, as it is HEREBY RESOLVED A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SK
CHAIRPERSON ______________ AND SK TREASURER ____________ OF BARANGAY___________
DISTRICT SORSOGON CITY TO OPEN CURRENT, NON-INTEREST BEARING BANK ACCOUNT
