REACTION PAPER ABOUT MOBILE MARKETING

According to Will Kenton, Mobile marketing is any advertising activity that promotes
products and services via mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones. It makes use of
features of modern mobile technology, including location services, to tailor marketing
campaigns based on an individual's location. In addition, mobile marketing is a way in which
technology can be used to create personalized promotion of goods or services to a user who is
constantly connected to a network.

Honestly, it’s amazing how mobile marketing works for the business of the marketer
compared to traditional marketing. Nowadays, it is now on trend and used by many with a
positive result since most of us are using mobiles. It is also quite impressive in a way that
customers can reach in real-time no matter where they are compared to the traditional way of
marketing which only works when a customer is in front of the television or radio. Aside from
this, it is extremely cost-effective because in common comparison it says there that social media
ads are much cheaper than purchasing ad space for radio or television.

On the other hand, it is sad that there are privacy issues concerning how the data
collected by mobile devices are used and whether or not companies have the right to collect
such data without explicit consent. The data collected can be used for identity theft or sent to
spam if it falls into the wrong hands due to data theft or poor security of the information.

It’s nice to know that this kind of marketing platform helps marketers to create brand
awareness effectively because as your brand or ads consistently appear on screens, the business
becomes more familiar and recognizable to consumers.

Time is evolving, and throughout this time, the number of users of mobile phones is also
increasing, and with that, it would be easier for any marketers to reach out to a large scale of the
audience which results in more profit.

Even though there is an increasing penetration of mobile phones globally, it is important


to study how consumers are reacting to new mobile marketing tactics and marketers should
strive more to gain trust by handling or taking appropriate steps properly to protect them from
fraud and help them to reach their target goals.
