Reconnecting with Our True Beloved
Bismillah Ar Rehman Ar Raheem. All praise is due to Allah and
peace and blessings be on His Messenger‫ﷺ‬, his family,
companions, friends, and followers.

“30 Days with the True Beloved” is an effort to help readers,

especially youngsters, connect with Allah effortlessly. We have
picked some of the most important themes and teachings of the
Holy Quran that apply to our everyday lives.

The average human attention span is now as little as 9 seconds.

People now prefer a fast-track approach in almost everything.
Short videos are going viral, T20 cricket matches are trending,
and so on. Considering this, we have tried to keep this book
concise and easy to understand.

We pray that this selection of Quranic verses will motivate our

readers to delve deeper into The Light (the Holy Quran) and
learn about the true purpose of our creation. May it help us
discover and nurture our relationship with Allah and our
Messenger‫ﷺ‬, and follow the path of the Sunnah: the only path
of peace, happiness, and success. Ameen.

30 Days with the
True Beloved

10
Day 1: Allah & Me

"Am I Not Your Lord?"

When your Lord asked all the offspring of Adam

(before their birth), "Am I not your Lord?"
They said, "Yes! We testify". (7:172)

[After the creation of Adam A.S, Allah created all the souls and took
this covenant from them. We all testified that Allah is our Lord, i.e
we swore that we will obey & worship Him alone though
most of us cannot recall it after being born in this world]

The Closest Being to Me

We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein. (50:16)

My Only Friend & Helper

Besides Allah you have no guardian or helper. (9:116)

He is sufficient as a Helper. (4:45)

11
Day 1: Allah & Me

My Guardian & Protector

Allah is your Guardian (3:150)

Allah suffices as Protector. (33:3)

My Sustainer

Surely Allah is the One

who bestows sustenance. (51:58)

Allah Has Complete Control Over Me

There is no living creature that is not

completely under His control. (11:56)

If Allah should touch you with adversity,

there is no remover of it except Him.
And if He touches you with good –
then He is over all things competent. (6:17)

12
Day 2: My Prophet‫ & ﷺ‬Me

The Prophet’s‫ ﷺ‬Love for the Believers

There certainly has come to you

a messenger from among yourselves.
He is concerned by your suffering, anxious for your well-being,
and gracious and merciful to the believers. (9:128)

Closer to Believers than Their Selves

The Prophet‫ ﷺ‬is more worthy

and closer to the believers than their selves. (33:6)

Mercy for the Alamin

We have sent you O Prophet‫ﷺ‬

only as a mercy for the Alamin
(mankind, jinns and all that exists). (21:107)

A Guiding Light

O Prophet‫ !ﷺ‬We have sent you as a witness,

and a deliverer of good news, and a warner, and a caller to the
Way of Allah and a beacon of light. (33:45,46)

13
Day 2: My Prophet‫ & ﷺ‬Me

Best Example to Follow

(O Messenger!) Tell people:

‘If you indeed love Allah, follow me,
and Allah will love you.’ (3:31)

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah‫ﷺ‬

you have a good example to follow
for him who hopes for Allah
and the Last Day and remembers Allah much. (33:21)

The Prophet‫ ﷺ‬as Final Judge

But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until
they make you, [O Muḥammad], judge concerning
that over which they dispute among themselves. (4:65)

(This order is not limited only to

the life of the Prophet‫ ﷺ‬but to the Day of Resurrection.
On the basis of believing and accepting what he‫ ﷺ‬brought,
the decision of whether a person is a believer or not is made)

14
Day 3: The Holy Quran
The Quran Explains Everything

We have revealed the Book to you

explaining clearly everything. (16:89)

Discrimination between Right and Wrong

Quran is a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the

guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). (2:185)

[The Prophet said: Jibeel came to me and said:

O Muhammad! After you, your community will be divided,
I said: O Gabriel! What is the way out of this disagreement?
He said: It is the book of Allah. Whoever holds it will be saved, whoever
abandons it, he will perish. (Masnad Ahmed)]

Guidance & Light

A Book We have sent down to you so that

you may bring forth mankind
from the darkness into the light. [from evil to good] (14:1)

15
Day 3: The Holy Quran

Guidance for Those Who Fear Allah

This is the book,

in it is guidance for sure without doubt,
to those who fear Allah (2:2)

The Power of the Holy Quran

Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain,

you would certainly have seen it
falling down and splitting asunder,
because of the fear of Allah. (59: 21)

The Light

(The Quran is) the manifest light. (4:174)

16
Day 4: Purpose of My Creation

Serve Allah

I did not create the jinn and the humans except

that they may serve Me. (51:56)

[Serving Allah does not only mean performing prayers, fasting

etc. but it means loving none more than Allah,
& obeying all His commandments]

Life and Death: A Test

He, who created death and life

that He may test you [to see]
which of you is best in conduct. (67:2)

Perform Best Deeds

He it is Who has created

the heavens and the earth…
that He might try you,
which of you is the best in deeds. (11:7)

17
Day 4: Purpose of My Creation

Self-Purification

O People, worship your Lord who created you

and those who lived before you,
so that you may become pious. (2:21)

Successful indeed is the one

who purifies their soul,
and doomed is the one
who corrupts it. (91:9.10)

People with Pure Hearts will Prosper

Only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah

a pure heart (free of evil). (26:89)

18
Day 5: Allah’s Love

Allah Loves the Followers of the Prophet‫ﷺ‬

Say, O Prophet, “if you sincerely love Allah,

then follow me; Allah will love you”. (3:31)

Allah Loves the Pious & the Pure Ones

Surely Allah loves the pious. (9:4)

Allah loves those who keep themselves pure and clean. (2:222)

Allah Loves Those Who Always Turn to Him

Surely, Allah loves those who

always turn to Him in repentance. (2:222)

Allah Loves the Good-Doers

Do good, for Allah certainly loves the good-doers. (2:195)

Allah Loves the Patient

Allah is with those who patiently persevere. (3:146)

19
Day 5: Allah’s Love

Allah Loves the Trustful & The Just

Surely Allah loves those who trust in Him. (3:159)

Surely Allah loves those who are just. (5:42)

Allah Does not Love the Proud & Transgressors

He certainly does not love those who are too proud (16:23)
Allah does not love transgressors. (2:190)

Who Love Allah & Allah Loves Them

O believers! Whoever among you abandons their faith,

Allah will replace them with others
who love Him and are loved by Him. (5:54)

20
Day 6: Faith & Piety

Guidance for the Pious

There is no doubt that this Book is a guide for the pious. (2:2)

[Who love and fear Allah much and abstain from evil deeds]

Faith has not Yet Entered Your Heart

The Desert ‘Arabs say: "We believe."

Say: "You believe not but you only say,
'We have surrendered (in Islam),
for Faith has not yet entered your hearts”. (49:14)

[Verbal declaration of faith is not enough;

we have to accept it by heart and fulfill its prerequisites]

Who is the Most Honorable in the Sight of Allah?

Surely the most honorable among you

in the sight of Allah is
the most pious of you. (49:13)

21
Day 6: Faith & Piety

Fear Allah as He Should Be Feared

O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared. (3:102)

[Love Him alone, Obey Him, be thankful to Him,

& remember Him always]

The Key to Success

Fear Allah that you may be successful. (3:200)

Reward for the Pious

Whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him,

He will remove his sins from him,
and will increase his reward. (65:5)

He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty)
and He will provide him from (sources)
he never could imagine. (65:2,3)

He will make his matter easy for him. (65:4)

22
Day 7: The Prophets
Prophet Adam A.S

Allah taught Adam the names of all things. (2:31)

Prophet Ibrahim A.S

Ibrahim was indeed forbearing, most tender-hearted, penitent.

(11:75)

Prophet Suleiman A.S

To Suleiman We subjected the raging winds and some jinn

that dived for him, and performed other duties. (21: 81, 82)

Prophet Moosa A.S

When he (Moosa) saw a fire…

and approached it, he was called, “O Moosa! It is truly I.
I am your Lord! I have chosen you”. (20:10-13)

Prophet Yusuf A.S

So will your Lord choose you O Yusuf,

and teach you the interpretation of dreams. (12:6)

23
Day 7: The Prophets

Prophet Daud A.S

We subjected the mountains as well as the birds

to hymn Our praises along with Daud. (21: 79)

Prophet Nuh A.S

We did indeed send Noah to his people

and he lived among them a thousand years save fifty. (29:14)

Prophet Yunus A.S

He (Yunus) cried out,

“There is no god worthy of worship except You,
Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong.”
So We answered his prayer and rescued him from anguish.
(21: 87, 88)

Prophet Isa A.S

I (Isa) cure the blind and the leper,

and I give life to the dead -
by permission of Allah. (3:49)

24
Day 8: The Test

This World is a Test

We have indeed made whatever is on earth as

an adornment for it, in order to test
which of them is best in deeds. (18:7)

Test like Earlier Nations

Do people think that they will be left alone

because they say: “We believe,” and will not be tested?
And We indeed tested those who were before them. (29:2-3)

Test in Possessions and in Yourselves

You will surely be tested in

your possessions and in yourselves. (3:186)

Wealth & Children are Trial

Your wealth and your children are but a trial,

and Allah has with Him a great reward. (64:15)

25
Day 8: The Test

Test with Fear & Loss

We will certainly test you

with a touch of fear and famine
and loss of property, life, and crops. (2:155)

Trail with Evil & Good

We shall make a trial of you with

evil and with good,
and to Us you will be returned. (21:35)

People as Trail

We have made some of you

as trial for others
- will you have patience? (25:20)

26
Day 9: The Devil

Iblis the Accursed

And [mention] when We said to the angels,

"Prostrate before Adam";
so they prostrated, except for Iblis.
He refused and was arrogant
and became of the disbelievers. (2:34)

Devil’s Promise

Satan said:
My Lord! Because You have made life evil to me,
I will certainly make (evil)
fair-seeming to them on earth. (15:39,40)

Attack from All-Around

{Satan] said, "Because You have put me in error,

I will surely sit in wait for them [mankind] on Your straight path.
Then I will come upon them from the front and from the rear,
and from their right and from their left. (7:16,17)

27
Day 9: The Devil

Open Enemy

Do not follow the footsteps of the devil;

surely he is your open enemy. (2:168)

No Authority over Allah’s Servants

Surely, as regards My servants,

you have no authority , over them except those
who follow you of the deviators. (15:42)

Warning

O children of Adam!
Let not the devil cause you to fall
into affliction as he expelled
your parents from the garden. (7:27)

28
Day 10: Love of the World

Love of Wealth

Surely humankind is ungrateful to their Lord-

and they certainly attest to this-
They are truly extreme in their love of worldly gains. (100:6-8)

You construct castles,

as if you are going to live forever. (26:129)

Competition

Competition for more gains diverts you from Allah,

until you end up in your graves. (102: 1,2)

Play & Amusement

This worldly life is no more than

play and amusement. (6:32)

29
Day 10: Love of the World

With Allah Lies a Goodly Abode

Men are naturally tempted by the lure of women,

children, treasures of gold and silver…
These are the enjoyments in the life of this world;
but with Allah lies a goodly abode to return to. (3:14)

Hereafter is Far Better & More Lasting

Do not let your eyes crave what We have allowed some of the
disbelievers to enjoy; the fleeting splendor of this worldly life,
which We test them with. But your Lord’s provision in the
Hereafter is far better and more lasting. (20:131)

Who Seek Merely the Present World

Those who seek merely the present world and its adornment
We fully recompense them for their work in this world.
They are the ones who shall have nothing
in the Hereafter except Fire. (11:15,16)

30
Day 11: The Ignorant

Worshiping Own Desires

Have you seen O Prophet the one

who has taken their own desires as their god? (25:43)

[Taking desire as a god is the same shirk as worshiping an idol

or making a creature a god. The Prophet‫ ﷺ‬said:
“Among all the deities that are being worshiped under this sky besides
Allah, the worst deity in the sight of Allah is the desire of the self,
which is being followed" (Tabarani)]

Devil’s Companions

Whoever is blinded from remembrance

of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil,
and he is to him a companion. (43:36)

Worse than Cattle

They have hearts they do not understand with,

eyes they do not see with, and ears they do not hear with.
They are like cattle.
In fact, they are even less guided!
Such people are entirely heedless. (7:179)
31
Day 11: The Ignorant

Allah Made Them Forget Themselves

Do not be like those who forgot Allah,

so He made them forget themselves. (59:19)

Who Will be Blind in the Hereafter?

Whoever is blind to the truth in this world

will be blind in the Hereafter,
and even far more astray from the Right Way. (17:72)

Animal Self

Indeed the soul (Nafs-e-Amara / animal self)

is ever inclined to evil,
except those shown mercy by my Lord. (12:53)

32
Day 12: Remembrance

Allah Remembers Those Who Remember Him

Remember Me; I will remember you. (2:152)

Satisfaction in the Remembrance of Allah

Without doubt, in the remembrance of Allah

do hearts find satisfaction. (13:28)

Remember Allah All The Time

(The believers) are those who remember Allah

while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides. (3:191)

Devote Yourself to Allah Wholeheartedly

Always remember the Name of your Lord,

and devote yourself to Him wholeheartedly. (73:8)

Remember Allah After Prayer

When you have completed the prayer, remember Allah

standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. (4:103)

33
Day 12: Remembrance
Praise Allah More Than You Praise Your Forefathers

Praise Allah as you used to praise your forefathers

before Islam or even more passionately. (2:200)

Remember Allah with much remembrance. (33:41)

How to Remember Allah?

Remember your Lord inwardly with humility

and reverence and in a moderate tone of voice. (7:205)

Call upon Allah by His Beautiful Names

Allah has the Most Beautiful Names.

So call upon Him by them. (7: 180)

Great Reward

Remember Allah often that you may succeed. (62:10)

34
Day 13: Prayer

What Put You Into Hell?

[Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other

about the criminals, [and asking them],
“What put you into hell?”
They will say,
“We were not of those who prayed”. (74:40-43)

My Prayer is for Allah

Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice,

my living and my dying are for Allah,
Lord of the worlds.” (6:162)

Seek Help Through Prayer

Seek help through patience

and prayer. (2:45)

35
Day 13: Prayer

Maintain Your Prayer

Those who [carefully] maintain their prayer:

They will be in gardens, honored. (70: 34-35)

Mosques

The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained

by those who believe in Allah
and the Last Day and establish prayer. (9:18)

Do Not Be Distracted by Business or Shopping

Men whom neither business nor sale distracts

from the remembrance of Allah
and performance of prayer. (24:37)

36
Day 14: Good Deeds

Good Deeds Benefit Our Own Selves

Whoever does good, does so to his own benefit. (41:46)

Do Good Deeds If You Want to Meet Allah

Whoever looks forward to meet his Lord,

let him do righteous works. (18: 110)

Mankind is in Loss

Indeed, mankind is in loss,

except for those who have believed
and done righteous deeds. (103:2-3)

Compete in Good Works

So compete with one another in doing good. (2:148)

37
Day 14: Good Deeds

Good Deeds Take Away Evil Deeds

Surely good deeds take away evil deeds. (11:114)

Repel Evil with Good

Repel evil with what is better;

then you will see that one who was once your enemy
has become your dearest friend. (41:34)

Ten Times Reward

Whoever comes with a good deed

will have ten times the like thereof. (6:160)

Good Deeds Are a Loan To Allah

Lend to Allah a good loan,

whatever good you send forth for yourselves,
you will find it with Allah
far better and more rewarding.(73: 20)

38
Day 15: The Believers
Believers Love Allah More than Anything

Those who believe, love Allah more (than anything else). (2:165)

The Believers’ Hearts Become Fearful

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned,

their hearts become fearful. (8:2)

The Believers Rely on Allah, Establish Prayer & Spend

Upon their Lord they rely. The ones who establish prayer,
and from what We have provided them, they spend. (8:2-3)

The Believers Seek Forgiveness

These are the ones who when they commit any act of obscenity,
or wrong themselves with sin, they remember Allah,
and so seek forgiveness for their sins. (3:135)

39
Day 15: The Believers
We Belong Allah & To Him We Will Return

(The believers) say, when struck by a disaster,

“Surely to Allah we belong
and to Him we will all return.” (2:156)

The Believers Do Not Desire Exaltedness or Corruption

That home of the Hereafter We assign to those

who do not desire exaltedness
upon the earth or corruption. (28:83)

The Believers Encourage Good and Forbid Evil

The believers encourage good

and forbid evil. (9:71)

The Believers Respond with “Peace”

When the foolish address them improperly,

they only respond with “peace”. (25:63)

40
Day 16: Repentance

Seek Forgiveness

Allah would never punish them

while you O Prophet were in their midst.
Nor would He ever punish them if
they prayed for forgiveness. (8:33)

Allah is Forgiving & Merciful

Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy:

that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance
and then repents after that and corrects himself
then surely, He is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. (6:54)

Do Not Despair of Allah’s Mercy

Say: O my servants! Who have acted extravagantly

against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah;
surely Allah forgives the faults altogether. (39:53)

41
Day 16: Repentance

Whose Repentance is Not Accepted?

Repentance is not for those who go on doing evil deeds,

until when death comes to one of them,
he says: Surely now I repent. (4:18)

Repentance is Only for Those…

Repentance with Allah is only for those who

do evil in ignorance, then turn (to Allah) soon,
so these it is to whom Allah turns (mercifully). (4:17)

42
Day 17: Relations

Honor Your Parents

Honor your parents.

If one or both of them reach old age in your care,
never say to them even ‘uff,’ nor yell at them.
Rather, address them respectfully. (17:23)

[The Prophet‫ ﷺ‬said: “Verily, among the major sins is that a man
curses his own parents.” (Bukhari). Allah has cursed one who curses his
own parents. (Muslim). On the Day of Judgment Allah will not look at
the person who disobeys his parents
and he who disobeys his parents will not enter paradise. (Nasai)]

Prayer for Parents

Be humble with them (your parents) out of mercy, and pray,

“My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me
when I was young.” (17:24)

Husband and Wife

They are a clothing for you

and you are a clothing for them.(2:187)

43
Day 17: Relations
Do Not Break Family Ties

(Do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). (4:1)

[The Prophet‫ ﷺ‬said: There is no sin more deserving of having

punishment meted out by Allah to its doer in this world,
along with what He has for him in the next world,
than oppression and severing family ties. (Tirmidi)]

Be Good to the Relative, the Needy & the Neighbors

Be good to parents, the relatives, the orphans, the needy,

the near neighbor and the distant neighbor,
the companion at your side, the traveler, and your slaves. (4:36)

Do Not Befriend Unbelieving Relatives

Believers, do not take your fathers

and your brothers for your allies
if they choose unbelief in preference to belief.
Whosoever of you takes them as allies
those are wrong-doers. (9:23)

44
Day 18: Charity
Spend in Love of Allah

(True righteousness consists in)

giving away one’s property in love of Him
(to relatives, orphans, and the poor). (2:177)

What Should We Spend?

Spend "The excess [beyond needs]." (2:219)

They ask you, [O Muḥammad], what they should spend.
Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for
parents and relatives and orphans
and the needy and the traveler. (2:215)

[Many people give charity but they do not give it according to the laws
set by Allah. When we have to give charity we must first spend on our
family and relatives who are needy
and then consider the others as mentioned by Allah]

Allah Multiplies Charity

The example of those who spend their wealth

in the cause of Allah is that of a grain
that sprouts into seven ears,
each bearing one hundred grains. (2:261)
45
Day 18: Charity
Spend From the Good Things

Spend from the good things

… and do not aim toward the defective therefrom,
spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself]
except with closed eyes. (2:267)

Whose Charity is Rewarded?

Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah

and do not follow their charity with reminders
of their generosity or hurtful words -
they will get their reward from their Lord. (2:262)

Donate of What You Cherish

You will never achieve righteousness until

you donate some of what you cherish. (3:92)

Give Charity in Private

To give charity publicly is good,

but to give to the poor privately is better for you,
and will absolve you of your sins. (2:271)

46
Day 19: Manners
Speak the Truth, Say What is Best, Lower Your Voice

Speak (always) the truth. (33:70)

Tell My servants, to say always that which is best.
Verily it is Satan who sows discord among people. (17:53)
Lower your voice, for the ugliest of all voices is
certainly the braying of donkeys. (31.19)

Deliver Trusts & Do Justice

Allah commands you to deliver trusts to those

worthy of them and judge between people with justice (4:58)
Give full measure and weigh with justice. (11:85)

Always Say “Insha Allah”

Never say of anything, “I will definitely do this tomorrow,”

without adding, “Insha Allah (if Allah so wills!)”. (18: 23,24)

Fulfill Promises

Be true to every promise –

for, verily, you will be called to account for
every promise which you have made. (17:34)

47
Day 19: Manners
Do Not Walk on the Earth Arrogantly

Do not walk upon the earth proudly.

Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart],
and you will never reach the mountains in height. (17:37)

Lower Your Gaze, Veil

O Prophet! Tell the believing men and women

to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. (24:30,31)
Let women draw their veils over their chests. (24: 31)

Waiving Debt as Charity

If it is difficult for someone to repay a debt,

postpone it until a time of ease.
And if you waive it as an act of charity,
it will be better for you, if only you knew. (2:280)

Invite to Allah in the Best Manner

Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice,
and only debate with them in the best manner. (16:125)

48
Day 20: Patience & Thankfulness

Be Patient

Be patient over what befalls you. (31:17)

Allah is with the Patient

Indeed, Allah is with the patient. (2: 153)

Allah Has Power Over Everything

If Allah afflicts you with any hardship,

none other than He can remove it;
and if He wills any good for you,
none can avert His bounty. (10:107)

With Hardship Comes Ease

So, surely with hardship comes ease.

Surely with that hardship comes more ease. (94:5-6)

49
Day 20: Patience & Thankfulness

Thank Allah for All His Blessings

He gave you hearing, sight,

and hearts that you might give thanks (to Allah). (16:78)
Eat of what Allah has provided for you lawful and good
and be grateful for the favor of Allah. (16:114)

[Being grateful means thanking Allah with your heart, tongue by

praising & worshiping him & being obedient to Him in all your actions]

Your Thankfulness is for Your Own Benefit
