It all starts with an app called Burbn, which allowed
users to check into places, share plans, and upload
photos. Systrom and Krieger decided to simplify
Burbn and focus on the photo sharing function,
adding filters and other editing options. Instagram
launched on October 6, 2010 for iOS and was
immediately successful, reaching over 25,000
users on the first day.
 The creators of Instagram are Kevin Systrom and
Mike Krieger, two software engineers who met at
Stanford University. The reason they created
Instagram was to simplify a previous app they had
developed called Burbn, which allowed users to
check into places, share plans, and upload photos.
Instagram is a social network to share images and

of interest to you. You can also use features like
