The couple wanted to build their dream home and hired architect Miles Moss to design it. Miles claimed to have designed another home called "The Hatch House" but had actually plagiarized the design. He also plagiarized a magazine design for the couple's home. This was discovered and Miles lost his career as an architect due to his illegal practices. The movie plot was intriguing but Miles ignored his clients' preferences, focusing only on himself.

1. What is type of project is about to be constructed?
Before starting a family, a fairly ordinary city couple wants to create their dream home. The desire for luxurious home ownership that is within their means, for high-end automation and technology to be available at reasonable prices, and for private spaces for each person to express their unique personalities all stand out. They are heavily influenced by the way of life of their friends and neighbors. The project is a two-storey residential building for the couple. The structure is inspired by a spiral shaped shell. There’s no straight and the shape of the house is circular with stairs that has no handrails. 2. How did the client know/come across or choose their Architect? The couple discovered "The Hatch House" while looking for their ideal home and the woman began researching it. She learned that it was designed by the Sullivan + Moss architectural firm and there she met Architect Miles Moss, the one who will design their future house. 3. What type of an Architectural firm did the Architect established? The Sullivan + Moss Architectural firm is a Co-owned firm. It was owned by Leo Sullivan and his business partner James Moss. 4. What approach did the Architect did to conceptualize the idea of house planning? When he found a spiral shaped shell and their ideas keep coming like the golden ratio, Plato's the key to Cosmos and geometrical pattern. That is how Architect Miles started drawing his ideas. 5. What is the concept of the project? Architect Miles came up with geometrical pattern/golden ratio inspired from a seashell. 6. What are the services rendered by the Architects? Enumerate The development of architectural plans/designs, specifications, and other building construction documentation is the architect's main area of expertise. These are sets of comprehensive instructions that the General Contractor will use to carry out the project. The Architects offer services such as; floorplans, 3D model, suggested the concept and design, provided materials that will be used for the house. 7. What prominent materials was use on the exterior façade of the building? Titanium is used for the circular façade, it is a type of metal that is lightweight, high- strength, low-corrosion structural metal and is used in alloy form for parts in high- speed aircraft. 8. What was the illegal practice did the Architect done? When Architect Miles Moss claimed that he designed “The Hatch House” when he didn’t in the first place, and it was Leo Sullivan who’s the original Architect that designed it. Additionally, he plagiarized a magazine design to construct it for the couple's ideal home. 9. What was the penalty of the Architect? He lost everything; he lost the potential of being a good Architect by plagiarizing other’s works and fooling the couple. 10. What can you say about the movie? Although it wasn't my favorite genre, the plot was intriguing, and I'm still in disbelief. Being a student of architecture, I found Architect Miles' disposition to be annoying because he doesn't pay attention to his clients' preferences for their own dream home. He has never cared about his client and has always been selfish. The couple made an effort to find an architect to design their home, and it is very interesting that they have trust in architects. Here in the Philippines, most Architects are ignored, and people just go straight to Engineers because they think it will be less expensive. This is good, even though the movie was not to my taste.
