Part I

PURPOSE
The purpose of this assignment is to enhance learners’ understanding of the
Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) in Malaysia.

REQUIREMENT
Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) have been established by the government
(governed by the Development Financial Institutions Act 2002) to complement the
services offered by commercial banks in Malaysia. Choose any THREE (3) DFIs in
Malaysia and explain the role and products and services offered by each of the DFIs.

The assignment should highlight the following aspects:


 Introduction of the background of each DFI;
 Explanation of the role of each DFI;
 Explanation of the products and services offered by each DFI;
 Comparison between the DFIs; and
 Summary of the assignment.

Credit analysis is the most important step in the lending process. It determines the
credit standing of a potential borrower, be it an individual or a corporate borrower.

Bahagian I

TUJUAN
Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk mempertingkatkan pemahaman pelajar mengenai
Institusi-Institusi Kewangan Pembangunan (DFI) di Malaysia.

KEPERLUAN
Institusi-Institusi Kewangan Pembangunan (DFI) telah ditubuhkan oleh kerajaan
(tertakluk di bawah Akta Institusi Kewangan Pembangunan 2002) untuk melengkapi
perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan oleh bank-bank komersial di Malaysia. Pilih mana-mana
TIGA (3) DFI di Malaysia dan terangkan peranan dan produk-produk dan perkhidmatan-
perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan oleh setiap DFI berkenaan.

Tugasan perlu menekankan aspek-aspek yang berikut:


 Pengenalan mengenai latar belakang setiap DFI;
 Penerangan mengenai peranan setiap DFI;
 Penerangan mengenai produk-produk dan perkhidmatan-perkhidmatan yang
ditawarkan oleh setiap DFI;
 Perbandingan antara DFI; dan
