MEANINGFUL ASSESSMENT

Summative assessment is truly meaningful for me because this where I can show what I
understand to the lessons that we discuss. The purpose of summative assessment is to appraise
students' knowledge, skills, and communication abilities at a certain moment in time.
Additionally, to assess student learning by contrasting it with a benchmark or standard at the
conclusion of an instructional unit. Summative assessment techniques are chosen by teachers
based on what works best for their students and the curriculum. For the purpose of accurately
assessing students' knowledge and/or skills, the assessment methodologies selected will have
well-defined parameters.
