Questions for student interviews :

-How do they define stress, is academic stress different from “general” stress, if yes
then how so? On a scale of 1-10, how much stress have they experienced?

-Most stressful parts about being away from home?

-Academic experiences; what they thought about classes, programs, social life, etc…
-What kind of social life do they live while studying at school? What times are they most
social, what times are they least social? Do they have support from family and/or
friends? Do they feel lonely while they are studying?

-how deadlines and academic pressure affects them.


-If they could change anything about their classes to make them less stressful or easier,
what would that be?

-do they do anything outside of school such as sports or events for example.

-How much daily time do they spend on social media? How do they think social media
affects their outlook on the world and on themselves? How do they think social media
affects mental health?
-Have they ever experienced a burnout? If so, what kinds of activities did they do that
helped them?

-would they say they have an adequate ability in managing their time? What kind of
things make time feel likes its moving quicker for them?

-Talk about how they spend their time outside of school.


-What can they tell us about what it's like to have high levels of anxiety, chronic stress
and depression?

-have they ever used Concordia’s mental health services? If so, what were their
experiences?

-How do they feel about the kind of grades that they get at school and what can they
say about the things they’ve done that helped improve their grades?
-How much do they value their grades? Would they trade a billion dollars for better
grades? Are there any experiences that come to their mind that they would 100% trade
for what they are learning at school?

Would they be comfortable speaking about moments and experiences that they had
which were emotionally and/or intellectually difficult?
