Tableau-Actions Filter

Step-1:
Launch Tableau and connect to Microsoft Excel (Sample Superstore).

Step-2:
Drag orders, people and returns and click on sheet1.

Step-3:
Go to sheet1 and rename it as PC-Sales.

Step-4:
Drag the dimensions Category to the columns and Sales to the Rows.
Step-5:
Select new worksheet(sheet2) and rename it as PSC-Sales.
Step-6:
Drag the dimensions Category and Sub-Category to the columns and
Sales to the rows.

Step-7:
Drag the dimension Category to the color on the MarksCard.
Step-8: Go to worksheet and select Actions and click on Add Action
dropdown menu. And then select Filters.

Step-9: Name it as Sales 1 and select Source as PC-Sales and Target


as PSC-Sales. Select the run action – select and show all values in
clearing the selection and select All fields in the Target filters and
then click Ok.
Step-10: If we select any option(Furniture / Office supplies /
Technology) in PC-Sales sheet , the sheet has changed and the chosen
option is selected in the destination sheet PSC-Sales.
Step-11: we can also select multiple options in the PC-Sales, it will
relfect in the PSC-Sales .
