3.1. Search engine and library

In recent years, there has been a significant growth in the use of artificial
intelligence (AI) in various fields. One of the areas where AI has shown great
potential is in the field of search engines and libraries. ChatGPT, a large
language model trained by OpenAI, is an AI tool that has the potential to
revolutionize the way we search for information and access library resources
[1]. ChatGPT is a powerful tool that can be used to find information on a wide
variety of topics. It is still under development, but it has the potential to
revolutionize the way we search for information [2]. The advanced AI model
can be used as a search engine for multipurpose such as general, academic,
and question & answer search engines, libraries, and databases.

3.1.1 General search engine

ChatGPT can be used in search engines to improve user search experience
[3]. Traditional search engines rely on keywords and algorithms to provide
relevant search results [4]. However, these methods are not always accurate
and can often lead to irrelevant search results. ChatGPT, on the other hand,
can understand natural language queries and provide more accurate and
relevant search results [5]. ChatGPT can also help users in refining their search
queries by asking follow-up questions and providing suggestions based on the
user’s search history and preferences [6]. Therefore, it can help users find the
information they need more quickly and efficiently. ChatGPT can be used as a
search engine in a number of ways such as to find information on a specific
topic, compare different sources of information, and find information that is not
easily accessible through traditional search engines (figure 3).

Please give me the factors with examples to consider when choosing a laptop for
engineering students.

When choosing a laptop for engineering students, there are several factors to consider:
1 .Processor: A laptop with a fast and powerful processor is essential for engineering
students. Look for laptops with Intel Core i7 or i9 processors, or AMD Ryzen 5 or 7
processors.
2 .RAM: Engineering students often work with large files and software programs, so
a laptop with at least 8GB of RAM is recommended. If possible, opt for 16GB or more.
3 .Graphics card: If the engineering student will be working with 3D modeling or CAD
software, a dedicated graphics card is important. Look for laptops with NVIDIA or
AMD graphics cards.
4 .Storage: A laptop with a solid-state drive (SSD) is recommended as it provides
faster boot and load times. Consider at least 256GB of storage, and if possible, opt
for 512GB or more.
71
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

5 .Display: A laptop with a high-resolution display is important for engineering

students who work with detailed graphics and designs. Look for laptops with at least
a Full HD (1920x1080) resolution, and if possible, consider a 4K display.
6 .Battery life: Engineering students may need to work on their laptops for extended
periods, so a laptop with good battery life is important. Look for laptops with at least
8 hours of battery life.

Examples of laptops that meet these criteria include:

1 .Dell XPS 15: This laptop features an Intel Core i7 or i9 processor, up to 32GB of
RAM, NVIDIA graphics, and a 4K display.

3.1.2 Academic search engine

One of the most significant ways AI models can be used to transform academic
search engines is by improving the accuracy and relevance of search results.
ChatGPT is trained on a massive dataset of text and code, which allows it to
understand the nuances of human language. ChatGPT has some of the
potential benefits than traditional academic search engines such as:
• Improved accuracy: ChatGPT can generate more accurate search
results than traditional academic search engines because ChatGPT is

72
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

trained on a massive dataset of text and code, which allows it to

understand the nuances of human language.
• Improved relevance: the advanced AI model can generate more relevant
search results than traditional academic search engines because
ChatGPT can learn about a user's interests and preferences over time.
• Increased interactivity: ChatGPT can make academic search engines
more interactive by answering user questions, providing summaries of
research papers, and even generating new research ideas.

In addition to improving the accuracy and relevance of search results, ChatGPT

can also be used to personalize the search experience. ChatGPT can learn
about interests and preferences over time and use this information to generate
more relevant search results [7]. One of the key advantages of using ChatGPT
as an academic search engine is its ability to understand and generate complex
queries. Traditional academic search engines (such as Google Scholar,
Microsoft Academic, and RefSeek) rely on Boolean operators and keywords,
which can be limiting and time consuming [8]. ChatGPT, on the other hand, can
process more nuanced queries, taking into account context and intent, which
can lead to more accurate and relevant results (figure 4).

Furthermore, ChatGPT can also provide users with personalized

recommendations based on their search history and preferences [9]. This
function can be particularly useful for researchers looking for new sources of
information or trying to expand their knowledge in a specific area. Another
advantage of using ChatGPT as an academic search engine is its ability to
identify and extract key information from academic papers and articles. It can
analyze the text of a document and extract important concepts and ideas,
which can be particularly useful when conducting reviews of the literature or
trying to find relevant sources for a research project. Therefore, ChatGPT can
73
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

also be used to make academic search engines more interactive. ChatGPT is

a powerful tool that has the potential to transform academic search engines.
By improving the accuracy, relevance, and interactivity of search results,
ChatGPT can help users find information about various academic disciplines,
topics, and concepts more quickly and easily.

What is the proper NMP amount for Li-ion battery cathode manufacturing?

N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) is a commonly used solvent in the manufacturing process of

lithium-ion battery cathodes. However, the proper amount of NMP to be used in the
manufacturing process can depend on various factors such as the specific cathode material
being used, the processing conditions, and the desired properties of the final cathode.

Typically, the amount of NMP used in the cathode manufacturing process can range from 5-
50 wt% of the cathode active material. However, it is important to note that the use of
excessive amounts of NMP can lead to safety and environmental concerns, as well as higher
manufacturing costs.

In recent years, there has been a push towards reducing or eliminating the use of NMP in
the cathode manufacturing process due to its potential health and environmental hazards.
Alternative solvents and processing methods are being developed to replace NMP in the
cathode manufacturing process.

It is recommended to consult with the manufacturer of the specific cathode material being
used to determine the appropriate amount of NMP to be used in the manufacturing process.
Additionally, it is important to follow proper safety guidelines and regulations when handling
NMP and other solvents in the manufacturing process of lithium-ion battery cathodes.

3.1.4 Academic library

ChatGPT has the potential to revolutionize the way we search for information
and access library resources. By understanding natural language queries and
providing personalized recommendations, ChatGPT can improve the search
experience for users and assist librarians in their tasks [1, 10]. In libraries,
ChatGPT can be used to provide personalized recommendations to users
based on their reading history and preferences [3, 10]. ChatGPT can also help
users navigate the library catalog and find relevant resources more easily. The
AI model can also help librarians in tasks such as answering reference
questions and providing research assistance [1]. ChatGPT can understand
natural language queries and provide relevant information and resources to
users, allowing librarians to focus on more complex tasks (figure 7) ]11[.
However, it is important to ensure that these technologies are developed and
used ethically and responsibly to maximize their benefits while minimizing

3.1.5 Scientific databases

As the field of artificial intelligence continues to evolve, so does its use in
scientific databases. One recent development that has garnered attention is
the use of ChatGPT and its potential applications in scientific databases.
ChatGPT allows researchers to access the information quickly and easily they
need without having to spend time crafting a complex search query. ChatGPT
can be used as databases of pharmaceutical, chemical, physical, and
biological information, such as properties, structures, and other information, to
democratize scientific knowledge and make it more accessible to a wider
audience (figure 7). ChatGPT also has the potential to improve the accessibility
of scientific databases. By allowing users to ask questions in natural language,
it can make it easier for nonexperts to access and understand the information
contained within these databases.

ChatGPT has the potential to revolutionize the way we access and understand
scientific databases. Its ability to understand natural language queries and
generate high-quality responses makes it an attractive option for researchers
and nonexperts alike. However, it is important to be mindful of potential biases
78

in the responses generated by the model and to ensure that it is regularly

updated to reflect the latest scientific knowledge.

Compare the physical, chemical, and biological properties of multi walled carbon nanotubes
and single walled carbon nanotubes.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs)

are two different types of carbon nanotubes that exhibit different physical, chemical, and
biological properties. Here's a comparison of these properties:

Physical Properties:
1 .Diameter: SWCNTs have a smaller diameter (less than 2 nm) compared to
MWCNTs which have a larger diameter (5-100 nm).
2 .Length: SWCNTs are typically longer (up to several microns) compared to
MWCNTs which are shorter (a few hundred nanometers to several microns).
3 .Structure: SWCNTs have a single cylindrical structure, while MWCNTs have
multiple concentric cylinders.
4 .Surface area: MWCNTs have a larger surface area compared to SWCNTs due to
their multiple concentric cylinders.

Chemical Properties:
1 .Reactivity: SWCNTs are more reactive than MWCNTs due to their smaller diameter
and higher curvature.
2 .Stability: MWCNTs are more stable than SWCNTs due to their larger diameter and
lower curvature.
3 .Functionalization: Both MWCNTs and SWCNTs can be functionalized with various
chemical groups, but SWCNTs are generally more amenable to functionalization due
to their higher reactivity.

79
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

Biological Properties:
1 .Toxicity: Both MWCNTs and SWCNTs have been shown to exhibit some degree of
toxicity in biological systems. However, MWCNTs are generally considered to be
more toxic than SWCNTs due to their larger size and greater potential for
aggregation.
2 .Biocompatibility: Both MWCNTs and SWCNTs have been shown to exhibit some

3.1.6 Feedback and improvement

As search engines and databases become more complex, the need for
effective user education and training becomes increasingly important.
ChatGPT applications help to improve the overall user experience about the
use of search engines and databases. By allowing users to ask questions in
natural language, ChatGPT can help guide users through the process of using
search engines and databases. For example, a user might ask "How do I
search for information on X?" or "What is the best way to use this database?"
ChatGPT can then provide clear and concise answers that help the user
navigate the search process (figure 8).

80
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

Another potential application of ChatGPT is to provide real-time feedback to

users as they use search engines and databases. For example, if a user types
in a search query that does not return relevant results, ChatGPT can provide
feedback in real time, such as "Try using different search terms" or "Narrow
your search parameters." This application can help users refine their searches
and find the information they need more quickly and easily.

ChatGPT has the potential to revolutionize the way we teach users how to use
search engines and databases. By allowing users to ask questions in natural
language and providing real-time feedback, ChatGPT can guide users through
the search process and improve the overall user experience. However, it is
important to be aware of potential biases in the responses generated by the
model and to ensure that it is regularly updated to reflect the latest information
and best practices.

88
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

search and screen manually [19]. Whether ChatGPT can automatically process
text data, extract, and analyse information [20], it can be used as an assistant
in searching for IP information on the Internet, such as patents, trademarks,
and copyrights. For example, inventors can enter technical content or patent
publication numbers into ChatGPT or other AI models to automatically
complete the search of patent documents before specifically delegating the
search to patent agents (figure 12). ChatGPT's functions can be helpful for IP
professionals who need to quickly find information about a particular IP asset.
ChatGPT can also be applied to analyse large amounts of text data, such as
patent applications, legal documents [21] and scientific papers, to identify
trends, patterns, and insights. Furthermore, ChatGPT can assist researchers
and innovators to analyse prior art before connecting with a professional patent
attorney.

applications or trademark registrations, which could then be reviewed and
edited by a human expert. For example, ChatGPT could be used to generate
the description section of a patent application, which is often lengthy and
technical. The advanced AI can help users write the description of trademarks.
This ChatGPT's function can save money and time for researchers and
inventors before dealing with patent agents and IP lawyers. The AI model can
also be used to generate legal documents [22] such as contracts and
agreements. This function can be helpful for researchers and users who need
to create legal documents quickly and easily. ChatGPT's applications can also

save time and resources for lawyers by generating the initial draft of
documents, which could then be reviewed and edited by a human expert.

Protection of intellectual property

ChatGPT, a natural language processing (NLP) model developed by OpenAI,
has the potential to play an important role in the protection of intellectual
property [23]. ChatGPT can be used to identify potential infringements, monitor
online activity, and analyze large amounts of data related to intellectual
property]18[. The AI conversation model can help identify and protect the
intellectual property of an organization or university by ensuring that its
products and innovations are protected from infringement (figure 13). ChatGPT
can analyze large amounts of text data, such as product descriptions,
advertising materials, and social media posts, to identify possible infringements
of intellectual property rights [24].

In addition, ChatGPT can help evaluate and pursue license opportunities,

create new revenue streams, and increase the value of the organization's
intellectual property portfolio. The AI conversation model can assist in
protecting your copyrights by checking plagiarism. ChatGPT could analyze IP
databases that include large amounts of data, identify potential infringements
more quickly than a human expert to save time and resources [25]. Another
potential application of ChatGPT in intellectual property is in identifying
trademark infringement. ChatGPT could be used to analyse large amounts of
text data, such as product descriptions and advertising materials, to identify
potential trademark violations. For example, ChatGPT could be used to
analyze social media posts and comments to identify potential trademark
violations or instances of copyright infringement.

3.11.1 Data analysis and interpretation

Interpretation and visualization of scientific data are important for
understanding the results of research and effectively communicate them.
ChatGPT helps interpret complex data sets by identifying trends, patterns, and
outliers [49]. In addition, it can propose appropriate statistical tests and
generate data visualizations such as graphs, charts, and graphs to help
researchers in communicating their results in a better way. The use of ChatGPT
in data interpretation is a possible application of analysis tools to provide insight
and explanations to numerical or graphic data [2]. ChatGPT can help
researchers and students understand the importance and meaning of data,
trends, patterns, and deviations. ChatGPT can provide an example, reference,
or diagram to support the analysis.

Another important application of ChatGPT in data processing and analysis is

in the analysis and interpretation of large datasets. ChatGPT can be used to
analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data, such as financial
data, customer feedback, and social media posts, and generate insights and
predictions about user behavior and preferences. This can help improve the
quality of business decisions and ensure a more personalized experience for
users. AI can help researchers analyze large datasets and identify patterns and
trends that would be difficult or impossible for humans to detect.

3.11.2 Data visualization

Data visualization is the art and science of using graphics, diagrams, and
images to communicate complex information in a simple way [50]. Data
visualization helps scientists better understand their data, study patterns and
trends, and communicate their results to others. ChatGPT is a tool that helps
to create data visualizations. ChatGPT is a chatbot that generates text and
images based on user input using a natural language processor and a
generative model of a trained transformer. ChatGPT can create a data
visualization by asking it to draw a data graph or chart. Another possible use of
ChatGPT in data interpretation is to create graphs, charts, and tables from raw
data using it as a visualization tool. ChatGPT helps users to present data
clearly and attractively by highlighting key points and messages. ChatGPT can
customize the visualization according to different parameter needs, such as
type, size, color, or title depending on your needs.

3.11.3 Data generation

Data generation is the process of creating data sets for various purposes, such
as testing, analysis, or modelling [51]. Data generation can be done manually
by entering data into systems and files, or automatically by using tools and
168
https://doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.7916458 Downloaded from: www.achtago.com

algorithms to generate data based on specific specifications and rules. The

ChatGPT is a chatbot that generates text and images based on user input using
natural language processing and pre-trained transformation models. ChatGPT
can generate data by asking you to create a sentence or paragraph based on
keywords and themes. Some researchers automatically generate data using
ChatGPT and other language models to train machine learning models. For
example, AI systems can generate patient dialogue samples to train medical
chatbots or generate hypothetical research documents to improve plagiarism
detection systems. Machine-generated data can complement limited real-world
data sets.

3.11.4 Data cleaning

ChatGPT can also be used in data processing and data cleaning tasks, such
as data imputation and data normalization [52]. ChatGPT can be fine-tuned for
specific data processing tasks and generate high-quality outputs, based on its
understanding of the data and the context. ChatGPT can be used to identify
and correct data errors to improve the accuracy of data processing and data
cleaning tasks and reduce the workload of data analysts.

3.11.5 Data extraction and mining

Data extraction is a process of extracting specific information from large non-
structural data sources such as text, images, audio, video, etc. [53]. Data
extraction can be performed manually by reading, listening, copying, or
automatically using tools and algorithms to identify and extract information
based on certain criteria or rules. Text extraction can be used for various
purposes, such as search for names, dates, locations, keywords, etc., in text
[54]. ChatGPT can be used to extract insights from the data.

in the development of intelligent chatbots and virtual assistants. These systems
can be used to provide support to data analysts and answer their queries, such
as providing information on data processing techniques, statistical analysis
methods, and machine learning algorithms. ChatGPT can generate high-
quality responses to user queries based on its understanding of the context
and the user's intent. This can help to improve the efficiency of the data
processing and analysis support process and provide a better experience for
data analysts. ChatGPT can provide information about different data
processing and analysis tasks, methods, tools, or resources available, such as
data sources, formats, standards, algorithms, libraries, frameworks, etc.
ChatGPT can also answer common questions and clarify doubts that data
analysts and researchers may have about these tasks, methods, tools, or
resources. ChatGPT can be used to convert data from one format to another.

ChatGPT can offer personalized advice and feedback to data analysts and
researchers based on their profiles, goals, preferences, and needs. ChatGPT
can help them find the best data processing and analysis tasks, methods, tools,
or resources for them, suggest ways to improve their data quality, accuracy, or
usefulness, and prepare them for feedback and evaluation.

In general, the use of ChatGPT in data processing and analysis has the
potential to revolutionize the way data analysts and businesses work with data.
By providing a powerful natural language interface for data processing and
analysis, data and models, ChatGPT can help improve the efficiency of the
data processing and analysis support process, provide a better experience for
