UNGA’S FOLIO – GROUP ASSIGNMENT

COUNTRY’S PROFILE

1. Each group MUST divide task between group members.

2. Search through Internet for information on your country. (Tip – use only English
when looking for information: example, “traditional song of Zimbabwe”)
3. Divide the folio into the following topics (p/s- you can divide the topics between
your team members):
i. The flag
ii. Map of the country
iii. National anthem - the lyrics in native language & in English
iv. The system of its government & politics – do they have king? Do they use
parliamentary system? Do they vote for government? Etc – summarize it
v. The culture: clothes, customs, tradition (please no naked pictures of any
tribe)
vi. The people (demographics) – races, languages, religions
vii. Interesting places/ tourist attractions – at least 3 places – describe it
viii. At least 2 traditional foods (for food fair) – a recipe if possible/ describe what
it is.
ix. Basic languages: For example – ‘saying good morning’, ‘how are you’, ‘I love
you’ …etc. in the country’s national language.
x. At least 1 traditional dances/ performances/ arts – describe it

4. All of the information must be selected and written by hand. No typing, printing
or photocopy.
5. Please make sure to choose simple information about your country – DO NOT
copy paste everything from the internet.
6. Only photograph can be printed – map and flag must be drawn.
7. Must only use 1 side of the paper. Do not write info on both sides.
8. Compile it into a folio, put a front page with your country’s name, members’
names and bind it – this will be part of your UNGA evaluation mark and also
part of 10% PNG marks.
9. Due date : 7 December 2023 (Thursday)
