curriculum teaching areas.

KRA1 Objective 3. Displayed proficient use of Mother Tongue, Filipino and

English to facilitate teaching and learning.

Start the day by checking the attendance of learners with an activity that enhances their
English vocabulary. Instead of saying present as the teacher call their names, let them
say GOOD MORNING in different ways. Here are some the possible terms which can
be considered having the same meaning with the phrase “good morning

KRA1 Objective 6. Maintained learning environments that promote

fairness, respect and care to encourage learning.

Let the learners realized that polite greeting such as saying good morning is one
of the basic functions of communication that triggers positive conversations. It also
helps connect people at a more personal level. Saying good morning to parents or
greeting a classmate and a teacher can make someone else day better. It can make
friends of two strangers; it can bring a smile to someone who is alone. It can change
how some else feelings about a certain person.

KRA1 Objective 7. Maintained learning environments that nurture and

inspire learners to participate, cooperate and collaborate in continued
learning.

Student who are living in remote area and has a difficulty in reporting to school
will be provided with recorded video lesson, worksheets and learning modules of the
topic.

MOTIVATION:
Slide13- 4th Quarter Demo Teaching.pptx -

As an introduction to the main lesson, ask the students the following questions:

1. Who among you have been on a top of a mountain looking down at a certain village?
2. When you look down, have you ever wonder measuring the distance between you
and the object you observe below?
3. Think of an airplane, flying a certain height above the ground. Is it possible to find
directly the distance along the ground from the airplane to an airport using a ruler?

Inform the class that in this lesson we will address these questions and relate it’s
importance in real life situations.

Lesson 3(Illustration of Angle of Elevation and Depression)

LESSON PLAN

This activity will help the students discover, define and illustrate angles of elevation
and angles of depression. Let them explore and guide them when they are about to lose
track during the activity. The students learn best when they discover the concepts
instead of giving it to them. Divide the class into 5 groups. In every group, assign a
leader and let the leader assign the following task to the members. The given task
should fit to the students’ interests and experiences.

KRA1 Objective 7. Applied a range of successful strategies that maintain

learning environments to motivate learners to work productively by
assuming responsibility for their own learning.

 Model is a person with a role either to promote, display, or advertise

commercial products or to serve as visual aid for people who are creating
works of art.
Task-(will do or perform the instruction given)
 Surveyor is a person who surveys. Make exact measurements and
determine properties boundaries.
Task -(will do all the measuring)

 Sketcher is a person who can simply or hastily execute drawing or painting

Task-(do the sketch of what the model will perform)

 Reporter is a person who researches, writes, and reports on information in

order to present in sources, conduct interviews, engage in research, gather
news and information to keep the public informed about important events
Task-(will explain to the whole class what the sketcher have
drawn)
 Cheerer is a spectator who shouts encouragement
Task-(will do the yell before the reporter present their output)

All cast and characters will follow the instructions given.

1. Model will move around the classroom and find the assign object to be
measured.
2. Surveyor will use the meter stick to measure the distance between the eyes
of the model and the object
3. Sketcher will draw and illustrate the scene.
4. Reporter will do the presentation and will explain the illustration made by
the sketcher.

KRA1 Objective 7. Maintained learning environments that nurture and

inspire learners to participate, cooperate and collaborate in continued
learning.

In this part of the lesson plan collaboarative learning is encourage and

students are given opportunities to apply skills or knowledge in diverse contexts

After accomplishing the task let the students present the outputs by group.

Lesson 3(Illustration of Angle of Elevation and Depression)

LESSON PLAN
When the observer/model is at the position in front of the object,

A. How did you determine the distance between the observer’s/model’s eye and the
object right next to him?
B. What do you call the line that connects the observer’s eye and object in front of
him?

The HORIZONTAL LINE OF SIGHT is an

imaginary line that connects the eye of an observer
to the object being observed horizontally.

Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate THE LINE OF SIGHT
ABOVE OBSERVER by processing the following question below.

When the observer/model is at the position below an object,

A. How did you determine the distance between the observer’s/model’s eye and the
object above him?
B. What do you call the line that connects the observer’s eye and object above him?

The LINE OF SIGHT ABOVE OBSERVER is an

imaginary line that connects the eye of an observer
to the object being observed above.

Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate THE LINE OF SIGHT
BELOW OBSERVER by processing the following question below.

When the observer/model is at the position above an object,

A. How did you determine the distance between the observer’s/model’s eye and the
object below him?
B. What do you call the line that connects the observer’s eye and object below him?

The LINE OF SIGHT BELOW OBSERVER is an

imaginary line that connects the eye of an observer
to the object being observed below.

Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate ANGLE OF

ELEVATION by processing the following question below.

When the observer/model look up at tall objects,

A. Is there an angle formed between the horizontal line of sight and the line of sight
above the observer?
B. How do you describe this angle?

Lesson 3(Illustration of Angle of Elevation and Depression)

LESSON PLAN

The “Angle of Elevation” is the angle formed by a

horizontal line and a line of sight to a point above
the line.

Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate ANGLE OF

DEPRESSION by processing the following question below.

When the observer/model look down on small objects,

A. Is there an angle formed between the horizontal line of sight and the line of sight
below the observer?
B. How do you describe this angle?

The “Angle of Depression” is the angle formed by

a horizontal line and a line of sight to a point below
the line.
Ask the following guide question to develop the concept of relating the angles of depression and
angles of elevation in finding the length of the sides and measures of the angles of right
triangles.
Without any measuring device do you think you can
directly determine the length of the height and the
distance of the object you have listed?
