LESSON PLAN
Checking of Attendance
Start the day by checking the attendance of learners with an activity that enhances their
English vocabulary. Instead of saying present as the teacher call their names, let them
say GOOD MORNING in different ways. Here are some the possible terms which can
be considered having the same meaning with the phrase “good morning
Let the learners realized that polite greeting such as saying good morning is one
of the basic functions of communication that triggers positive conversations. It also
helps connect people at a more personal level. Saying good morning to parents or
greeting a classmate and a teacher can make someone else day better. It can make
friends of two strangers; it can bring a smile to someone who is alone. It can change
how some else feelings about a certain person.
Student who are living in remote area and has a difficulty in reporting to school
will be provided with recorded video lesson, worksheets and learning modules of the
topic.

Give a short review on relationships among side lengths and interior angles of a
right triangle.
A. ESTABLISHING A PURPOSE
Recall
the five sense of human body and give emphasis on the sense of sight.
LESSON PLAN
MOTIVATION:
Slide13- 4th Quarter Demo Teaching.pptx -
As an introduction to the main lesson, ask the students the following questions:
1. Who among you have been on a top of a mountain looking down at a certain village?
2. When you look down, have you ever wonder measuring the distance between you
and the object you observe below?
3. Think of an airplane, flying a certain height above the ground. Is it possible to find
directly the distance along the ground from the airplane to an airport using a ruler?
Inform the class that in this lesson we will address these questions and relate it’s
importance in real life situations.
LESSON PLAN
Identify and group the student according to their learning Styles (VARK)

Kinesthetic learners
LESSON PLAN
This activity will help the students discover, define and illustrate angles of elevation
and angles of depression. Let them explore and guide them when they are about to lose
track during the activity. The students learn best when they discover the concepts
instead of giving it to them. Divide the class into 5 groups. In every group, assign a
leader and let the leader assign the following task to the members. The given task
should fit to the students’ interests and experiences.
1. Model will move around the classroom and find the assign object to be
measured.
2. Surveyor will use the meter stick to measure the distance between the eyes
of the model and the object
3. Sketcher will draw and illustrate the scene.
4. Reporter will do the presentation and will explain the illustration made by
the sketcher.
After accomplishing the task let the students present the outputs by group.

Lesson 3(Illustration of Angle of Elevation and Depression)
LESSON PLAN
Presentation will be all about describing the illustration or picture they have
created out the activity.
For sharpening the learned skills in this topic, a discussion may follow while processing the
students’ answers to the follow-up questions below. Interaction is encouraged and teacher uses
brainstorming to reveal knowledge acquire from the above activity.
a. Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate THE HORIZONTAL LINE
OF SIGHT by processing the following question below.
LESSON PLAN
When the observer/model is at the position in front of the object,
A. How did you determine the distance between the observer’s/model’s eye and the
object right next to him?
B. What do you call the line that connects the observer’s eye and object in front of
him?
Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate THE LINE OF SIGHT
ABOVE OBSERVER by processing the following question below.
A. How did you determine the distance between the observer’s/model’s eye and the
object above him?
B. What do you call the line that connects the observer’s eye and object above him?
Out of the illustration presented let the students illustrate THE LINE OF SIGHT
BELOW OBSERVER by processing the following question below.
A. How did you determine the distance between the observer’s/model’s eye and the
object below him?
B. What do you call the line that connects the observer’s eye and object below him?

LESSON PLAN
In this activity a research-based knowledge and principles of teaching and learning
is being ulilizes with the following evidences:
(Content Application)
Let the students perform the Activity (Draw My Problem). In this activity, the
students will apply their skill in illustrating the information presented in the problem through
drawings. They will be observing 5 different famous landmarks in Dapitan City and identify
the angle of elevation and depression on each illustration given. They will also use the
concepts that were acquired in the previous activity. This will enable them to further validate
and deepen their understanding of the lesson. Materials will be provided.

KRA1 Objective UP!Applied a range of successful strategies that maintain
learning environments to motivate learners to work productively by
assuming responsibility for their own learning.

LESSON PLAN
Present an Assessment Rubric
(Practical Application)
Let them make a synthesis journal and let them answer the the question written on the table so
that they will not forget what they have learned in this lesson.
Worksheet 1: Synthesis Journal
Complete the table below by answering the questions.
Ask some volunteer students to share their answers to the class. Give emphasis to interesting
and important answers especially those that deal with real-life applications.
LESSON PLAN
How do you define and illustrate ANGLE OF ELEVATION and ANGLE OF DEPRESSION?
LESSON PLAN
What situations in real life where the knowledge of angle of elevation and
depression are applicable?
Deal with the questions below for self-assessment and to identify learners’
difficulties and eventually deal with them.
Have you encounteed any difficulties while illustrating angle of elevation and angle
of depression? If yes, what are your plans to overcome them?
H. EVALUATING LEARNING
