HEAT EXCHANGER PERFORMANCE

EXPERIMENT NO. 11: DETERMINATION OF HEAT EXCHANGER PERFORMANCE
Objective:
1. To study the working principle of parallel flow and counter flow heat exchangers.
2. Developing a set of experiments to obtain statistically significant trends for the overall
heat transfer coefficient and the inside heat transfer coefficient as a function of water
velocity.
3. To study effect of fluid temperature on counter flow heat exchanger performance

EXPERIMENT 12: DETERMINATION OF HEAT EXCHANGER EFFECTIVES AND

EFFECT OF LOW RATE ON HEAT EXCHANGER PERFORMANCE
Objectives:
1. To study effect of fluid flow rates on heat exchanger performance
2. To determine the values of effectiveness of heat exchanger for parallel and counter flow.
