PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION

TITLE: TACTICAL MEDICINE TRAINING AND APPLICATION DURING FIRING EXERCISES


RATIONALE:
Enhance of knowledge and skills and experience is a continuous process for every member in a
uniformed service to gain mastery on specific skills. Considering that Personnel assigned in jail
facility deals with the lawless citizen and poses potential risk and danger to the community, it is
imperative that regular training and education is needed to equip with the needed knowledge
and skills. Uniformed Personnel carry their issued firearms and expected them to have a
familiarity/mastery in using it even under pressure and learn some basic Tactical Medicine.
Safety and security is one of the mission and every personnel must ensure the safety and
security of the jail facility and defend their self, its colleagues and Persons Deprived of Liberty
for any untoward incidents.

1. OBECTIVES:
a. To make the personnel of Lucena City District Jail Male Dorm learned tactical
Medicine
during firing exercises and be familiar in handling and firing their issued firearms;

b. To review the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship and uses of first aid kit;

c. To develop confidence, knowledge and skills required in tactical medicine application


and in firing his/her weapon and be able to hit the desired target; and

d. To acquire mastery in tactical medicine and firing the issued firearms.

2. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 16 BJMP Personnel

3. DURATION: One (1) day

Basic Human Anatomy, Lift and carries Presentation, video clips of human anatomy
techniques lecture and demonstration of lift and carry
techniques
Tactical Medicine Lecture Presentations and video clips during Tactical
care under fire, Tactical Field Care, Tactical
Evaluation
Tactical Medicine Practical Exercises Demonstration of proper application using
the following equipment. CAT combat
tourniquet, compression bandages for
trauma care, Nasopharyngeal Airway
Insertion, chest seal application, needle
decompression, and IV insertion
Tactical Medicine Practical Exercises Demonstration of proper application using

Operation/ Stoppages and Malfunction 8 cycles of operation/ types of malfunction
and its remedy, kinds of fire malfunction,
cleaning the weapon, inspecting the pistol,
safety lock test, grip safety test, half cock

ammunition
Fundamentals of Pistol Marksmanship Aiming, steady hold factor, phases of aiming,
sight picture, sight alignment, proper
placement of aiming points, errors in sight
alignment, stable position, breathing control,
relaxation, trigger control, factors in attaining
stable position, stance position, grip,
maximum control of the weapon, types of
stances, five points of contract, function of
the other parts of the shooting arms, types of
trigger control, basic firing position, flinching,
establishing a system, calling the shot
