The climate in the southeast is warm and sunny.

Normally in the south east the weather ranges
from the high 80s to the low 90s. There are also
hurricanes and thunderstorms in June and
November. Most of the southeast is humid and
tropical weather with a lot of rain. The winters
are not very cold when compared to the rest of
the United States. The sea levels are rising
because of Global Warming and the southeast
coastline is seeing a lot of erosion, flooding, and
storms.

There are so many places to see in the southeast like the great smoky Mountains, the rolling mountains of
Tennessee, Graceland, and the Alabama jazz hall of fame. There are also so many things to do to like go to zoos,
the pink palace museum, and you can also go hiking. One really cool thing you can do is go to Space Camp at the
US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. You also can’t forget about Disney World and Epcot in Florida. I
really want to visit Hogsmeade and the wonderful world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando.
The population of people in the Southeast is over
83 million people. Florida is the state with the
most population of almost 20 million people.
There are also about 50 well-known and historical
colleges and universities in the Southeast. The
region is most known for welcoming people with
southern hospitality and the birthplace of country
music. The music also includes jazz, bluegrass,
gospel, and twang. The food includes Creole,
Cajun, French, Mexican, and Caribbean. You can
find po’boys, gumbo, BBQ, fried chicken, and all
kinds of delicious choices.

RESOURCES
Two of the main natural resources in the Southeast region are
pine trees and coal. The coal is used for electricity, heat, and lots
of other types of energy. The warm weather and rainfall make
great soil for growing crops like oranges, sugar cane, and cotton.
Peanuts also grow really well in the Southeast because they
need frost free weather and about 4-5months of rain. Livestock
like cows, pigs, and chickens are also important resources to the
Southeast. Let’s not forget that a lot of the Southeast is
coastline, so of course there’s also my favorite, seafood!
