In English we use possessive adjectives before the noun to say who something belongs to.

My book

Your book

His book (masculine singular)

Her book (feminine singular)

Its book (for singular things and singular animals)

MY/MINE YOUR/YOURS HIS/HIS HER/HERS

ITS/ITS OUR/OURS YOUR/YOURS(Pl) THEIR/THEIRS

Our book

Your (pl) book/s

Their book

We can say the following:

It’s your book or It’s yours

It’s his book or It’s his (if the book belongs to a masculine subject)

It’s her book or It’s hers (if the book belongs to a feminine subject)

It’s its book (not possible) but we can say: it’s its bone (referring to ‘of the dog’)
