HOW MANY TIMES IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU SAY TO YOURSELF “YOU ARE POOR”?

You are blessed that you are poor…

Sadto kami pobre gudla kami, hasta pa man yana.

A reality can be experience by our parents. But on the other side of the coin, we do not want to be
identified as being a poor. In fact, we want to get out from this shackles or quagmire of hope. But other
also they are happy with the life they are into—being a poor. And sometime we can hear from the rough
grounds “konteto naman kami kun ano an mayda kami” and they added “basta mayda Diyos kami nga
ginsasarigan ngan gin lalauman kontento na kami”.

In our society nowadays, we can look at the poor, literary as the abused and neglect of the society. They
are abused during election. They are used in the agenda of some politicians, in the Church I hope it does
not prevail, raising funds for the poor and yet the collect of the money did give them as intended. They
neglected because for some they are the “napariwara, binaliwala ang kinabukasan etc.”

In our gospel today reminds us that the poor is the very rich among us. Now the questions are are the
poor which the gospel proclaims? Or let me ask “who is the poor? Can the rich or any status of our life
can be considered as a poor as the readings would tell us? Again, I repeat the question, “are you the
poor?

In the reading we are being presented who really the poor are. The poor which the readings presented
to us is the poor in spirit. Are you poor in spirit? How can we say that we are poor in spirit? What is that
spirit the reading tries to convey to us? Is it the spirit of the good or the bad?

I will leave in your midst a people humble and lowly.

2. HUNGRY
3. CAPTIVES
4. BLIND
5. BOWED DOWN
6. STRANGERS
7. FATHERLESS
8. WIDOW
9. WICKED
“Whoever boasts, should boast in the Lord. (1 COR 1:31)”

GOD CHOSE THE FOOLISH, WEAK, LOWLY. THOSE WHO COUNT FOR NOTHING,

to reduce to nothing those who are something. SO THAT NO HUMAN BEING MIGHT BOAST BEFORE
GOD.

It is due to him that you are “IN” Christ Jesus,

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Mt 5:1-2).

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.” (diri ba pwede ngadi Lord sa bawbaw sa
kalibutan?) siring pa…free and foretaste… pero sige gad kun amo man… uyy Lord nagkukuri na gad kami
ini…wala ba dyiyang pa burger hahahah

Kay diba iton kingdom of Heaven here but not yet? Pwd gad ada perhaps/maybe pero paforetaste la.
