1. Physical Environment : It includes all the physical features that have an effect on the
individual. The land, climate and temperature of the place, food, shelter, clothing and other
resources, which make for a comfortable living is a part of this environment. It

2 Mental Environment : This includes an intellectual atmosphere at home, a healthy and


intellectual atmosphere at the school and its various constituents (library, common room etc.) It is
such an atmosphere that the child learns new experiences unconsciously which become a part of
his mental makeup.
Factors
Environmental influence on the fetus. External pressures, radiation, pollution,
malnutrition, heavy work, lack of care and affection affect the growth.

Environmental influence after birth. Birth care avoids the complications. Accidents and
incidents in life make the lapse in the growth and development of the child. If any damage occurs
in the brain, the mental, physical, social and emotional functioning are affected. Proper
nourishment, medical care, good physical environment, education, love and care bring the
harmony in growth and development.
Family helps shape, define, and provides a foundation of whom an individual will grow
up to become. Families can consist of traditional, modern, single, blended, and adoptive. This
research paper will focus on the latter. In the scope of a family environment, families share many
life-changing memories. Some are happy, and meant to cherish forever. Other memories may not
be so pleasant.
Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and psychological development that generally
occurs during the period from puberty to adulthood. Adolescence is usually associated with
theteenage years, but its physical, psychological or cultural expressions may begin earlier and end
