(a) Elektromagnet digunakan di pusat kitar semula untuk mengasingkan bahan jenis logam daripada
bahan-bahan lain. Beri satu sebab elektromagnet lebih sesuai digunakan berbanding dengan magnet

Electromagnets are used at recycling centre to separate metals from other materials. Give one reason why electromagnets are more
suitable to be used than permanent magnets.

HEBAT
By using the given materials, state the steps to build the electromagnet.
1. Paku besi dililitkan dengan wayar bertebat.

An iron nail is coiled with insulated wire.

2. Paku besi itu dikepit pada pemegang kaki retort.

The iron nail is attached to the clamp of the retort stand.

3. Hujung wayar bertebat disambung pada bekalan kuasa dengan menggunakan wayar penyambung dan klip buaya.

Ends of the insulated wire are connected to a power supply with connecting wires and crocodile clips.

4. Klip kertas diletakkan di bawah paku.

Paper clips are placed under the nail.

5. Suis bekalan kuasa dihidupkan.

The power supply is switched on.

6. Klip kertas akan tertarik pada paku sekiranya elektromagnet berfungsi.

The paper clips will be attracted to the nail if the electromagnet works.
