The MIMAROPA Region is made up of islets and islands that are located south of Southern
Luzon across warm tropical waters. The provinces of Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro,
Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan, as well as the cities of Calapan City and Puerto Princesa
City, form this region. Additionally, it consists of 1,455 barangays and 72 municipalities. Panay
Island and the South China Sea encircle its southernmost point, while the provinces of Batangas
and Quezon border its northern tip. Its 2.74 million hectares of land make about 9% of the entire
land area of the nation.
2.2.1.2 Puerto Princesa Palawan
- According to the official website of the city of Puerto Princesa Palawan; Puerto Princesa
City Philippines sprawls across 253,982 hectares of land stretched over 106 kilometers,
making it the country’s largest city. Its narrowest breath is in Bahile, where only 8.5
kilometers of land separate the east and the west coast.
- According to a website called World Population Review, Puerto Princesa ranked 46th in the
most populated cities in the Philippines this 2024, with a total of 222,673 inhabitants.
• Geographical Location: The site is located in Brgy Tagburos, Puerto Princesa North Road
,Puerto Princesa Palawan. The site is facing the Puerto Princesa North Road.
• Land Area: The site has a total lot area of 17,773.7 sq.m, and is irregular in shape.

• Land Use Classification: According to the comprehensive land use plan of Puerto Princesa,
the site is within the Timberland area. The site is also surrounded by residential and

• Transportation: The available transportation modes in Barangay Tagburos, Puerto
Princesa are jeepney, tricycle, and private vehicle.

Site Analysis
A comprehensive assessment of the site helps the architect to make the most of the building's natural
resources, such light, accessibility, and views, which enhances the overall design. It may also allow the
architect to plan for whatever challenges that might come up throughout the design process. The site's
behavioral analysis, which takes into consideration the wind, sun, and noise levels, is shown in the above
picture.
