Introduction to the learners
Hey, gade 11’s you guys made it. Congratualtions!
In this textbook we’’ll be focusing on your listening skills ( how you listen
when a passage is read or played for you) , reading skills ( how you read
along with pronunctiation), speaking ( the way you speak ( oral
preparation), writing and prsenting ( how you write and what you
present) and also focussing on language ( how you use the language
along with knowing the different terms and concepts we find with in
English). You will gain skills and knowledge and will then be able to
comprehend from what you’ve learned.

This textbook will help you better all of the above mentioned CAPS
learning areas and prepare you for grade 12. We’’ll be focusing on
“Discovering Your Identity” as a youth. Youth having many challenges to
face with in reality life, in school and at home. Where you yes you deal
with finding yourself, finding your true identity with your sexaulity,
knowing your true gender, the different roles, how you get treated within
society based on your gender, your religion and how that plays a role
within your life as well as how you get treated based on your different
beliefs. And how you see yourself, where you find yourself but how
others see you differently.
Hope you’ll enjoy this book! And good luck with finding the inner you
along with that beauty that shines through.
