About the Professional Profile

The professional profile is used to demonstrate compliance with ISO 17021-5 Competence requirements for
auditing and certification of asset management systems. This requires auditors to have experience in certain
industry types and asset classes, which is why this certification requires a professional profile.
Completing the profile is part of obtaining CAMA certification, and your profile, once accepted, may be
displayed on the WPiAM Website as part of your certification.

Providing your profile

You are able to enter your profile by registering on the WPiAM website, and submitting your profile. You will
be agreeing to the Code of Ethics by submitting this information.
The profile is reviewed, and changes may be requested.

Amending your profile

You may request an amendment to your profile as your details and experience change. This can be done by
logging onto the WPiAM website, and submitting a revised profile. You may request an annual profile
amendment without incurring an administration fee.

Professional Profile Sections

Profile Part 1: Qualifications

This section of the profile records your auditing and asset management qualifications. Qualifications listed
should be recognized asset management or auditing qualifications from a tertiary institution or asset
management or auditing body.

Profile Part 2: Recording your industry sector, and years of experience

The Industry Classification is taken from the North American Industry Classification System. For each industry
sector, you should state, as closely as possible, the number of years of asset management experience you
have had in that sector. The sum of the years’ experience in each sector should equal your total years’
experience in asset management, as shown in the table below.

Profile Part 3: Recording your asset classes

This section should give a general guide to the asset classes with which you have experience. Job titles and
positions are not relevant to this section. A general list of asset classes is given on the last page, as assistance.
