Introduction:
My fourth interview was with Navarasu Dhanasekar, a Chief Information Security Officer at
AutoGrid. The interview, facilitated through a networking connection I created at the PCIS
Business & Networking Symposium at Toyota Headquarters, provided comprehensive
knowledge about the cybersecurity field and its career prospects.

Interviewee Information:
Mr. Dhanasekar has been serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at AutoGrid for the
past 4 years. He has a very intriguing career trajectory, initially obtaining a Physics major in
India. However, he entered the technology industry as an auditor, and has worked his way up
within the ranks ever since.

Location:
The interview was conducted via Zoom call, as Mr. Dhanasekar was unable to meet in person.

Preparation and Comfort:

Because of the professional connection I formed with Mr. Dhanasekar at the PCIS networking
event, the interview was very professional and businesslike. However, I felt comfortable in this
setting as the PCIS course has equipped me with the necessary skills to shine in such a situation.

Summary of Insights:
The interview encompassed a broad variety of topics within cybersecurity, including its
definition, various types, available programs and certifications, and potential career paths. Mr.
Dhanasekar provided comprehensive insights into the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and
offered guidance on preparation strategies for aspiring professionals. He also emphasized greatly
that where you start off is not exactly where you end, as evidenced by his very own path from
physics to cybersecurity.
