1-Min Doc Worksheet
1-Min Doc Worksheet
Directions: You are creating a 1-minute mini-doc in the style of the examples shown in class. You will craft a
conversation with an adult who is working in a profession. Remember, this is not a Q&A. Do not waste any of
your minute with you speaking and asking questions. This isn’t about you. Please remind your adult that this is
going on the district’s website.
Start by coming up with two people that you could speak with. The person cannot be a school district
employee. Touch base with each person to make sure that they will speak with you and understand the scope
of your project. Now it’s time to research. Look into their profession so that you have some background
information. It’s a lot easier to have a conversation when you know a little bit about the topic.
These 1-minute documentaries are used as quick glances into a profession. What type of personality traits are
good for the profession? What type of education, if any, is needed? What does a day-in-the-life look like? Why
are they passionate about it? These are Q&A questions, so don’t use them as they are, but rather understand
that this is some of the information that might be helpful to someone who is looking at this industry.
Complete the chart below and submit it before your recording session.
