Present Perfect Continuous

- We use it to talk about an action that started in the past and continues in the present,
while focusing on the duration.
e.g. I have been learning English for 10 years.
- We use it to talk about an action that happened in the past and whose results we can see
in the present, while also focusing on the duration.
e.g. They`ve been painting the walls, that`s why they`re tired.

Time Expressions:
- For
- Since
- All (morning/week/day/etc)
- Etc

Affirmative: Subject + have/has + been + Ving


I have been sleeping
You have been sleeping
He/She/It has been sleeping
We have been sleeping
You have been sleeping
They have been sleeping

Negative: Subject + haven`t/hasn`t/ + been + Ving


I haven`t been reading
You haven`t been reading
He/She/It hasn`t been reading
We haven`t been reading
You haven`t been reading
They haven`t been reading
Interrogative: Have/Has + Subject + been + Ving + ?
Have I been drinking? –> Yes, I have.
Have you been drinking? -> No, you haven`t.
Has he/she/it been drinking? -> Yes, he/she/it has.
Have we been drinking? -> No, we haven`t.
Have you been drinking? -> Yes, you have.
Have they been drinking? -> No, they haven`t.
