INTRODUCTION
The forward-thinking process by which towns, cities, and urban areas are built out based
on a set of objectives outlined by the state or territory in collaboration with local councils is
known as urban planning. Our transportation system, infrastructure, the layout and prescribed
densities of our residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, and other factors are all
influenced by urban planning. Without such planning, our cities become inefficient and
unappealing to both inhabitants and companies. Moreover, this is the process of constructing and
designing urban areas to satisfy the demands of a community. The profession draws on a variety
of disciplines, including design, engineering, economics, sociology, public health, finance, and
others, to help cities and towns plan for the future. On the other hand, urban planning is
important because it encompasses many aspects of city life, including new and pre-existing land,
buildings, roads, common spaces, transit, economic development, infrastructure, and the
environment. We have roughly classified these features into many conceptual domains. Residents
of a poorly built metropolitan region endure traffic congestion, insufficient infrastructure, costly
housing, and are exposed to climate change, fire dangers, and flooding. The city and its

Census, its population was 3,639. This accounted for 9.50% of Samal's total population. Because
Samal is home to numerous industrial companies, including Bataan 2020, Charoen Pokphand
Foods Philippines Corporation Aqua Feed Mill, poultry farms, etc., proper urban mapping and
planning are necessary to ensure that everyone in the municipality has the proper zoning and that
no one will be harmed by the aforementioned industrial companies. Urban mapping is very
important in barangay Gugo and in the municipality of Samal because it takes into consideration

the quality of living and regulates and distributes public places and infrastructure accordingly. A
city or municipality may provide its citizens access to all necessary services, attractions, and
