    The crude oil tanker ASTIPAL is currently located in Dalian, China undergoing repairs. It will be converted into a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel for the Sangomar field located 100 km off the coast of Senegal. MODEC was awarded the front-end engineering design contract for the FPSO in February 2019. Once completed, the FPSO is scheduled for delivery in early 2023 where it will be permanently moored at a depth of 780 meters to develop the Sangomar field, Senegal's first offshore oil development.
