In Arts III
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
a) Define the difference between geometric shape and organic
shape;
b) Identify the pictures if it is geometric shape or organic shape; and
c) Draw a picture of geometric shape and organic shape.
A. Activity
The teacher will present two pictures, and the pupils will tell
something about each picture.
B. Analysis
The teacher will ask some questions related to the pictures
that she present.
1. What do you see in the picture?
2. What shapes are there in the picture?
3. What do you think is the connection of those pictures
to our topic today?
C. Abstraction
Geometric Shapes- are made out of points and lines
connecting the points in a closed chain. Such shapes includes circle,
rectangle, square, triangle, and many more.
Organic shapes- do not have sharp edges, lines and curves like
geometric shapes. They are often used for objects in nature like
clouds, flowers, animals, ocean, and sky. They are known as free-form
shapes.
D. Application
Grouping the pupils in 2 groups
Instructions: Each group need to build it up the cut out
pictures and identify the picture if it is geometric shape or
organic shape. The teacher will give them 3 minutes to do
the activity.
IV. Assessment
Directions:Identify if the given shapes are geometric or organic.

Homework/Assignment
Directions: Draw 5 geometric shapes that you can see inside your
house and 5 organic shapes that can be seen outside your house.
