Preventive maintenance for GHP (every 5 years / 10,000 hours whichever comes first)

1. Remove the cover panel (engine side) of the GHP unit.

2. Before performing preventive maintenance of the GHP, make sure that the main PCB dip switch
S001 is set to STOP to force the indoor and outdoor unit off and dip switch S002 is set to OFF to
turn off the LPG gas solenoid valve.
3. Turn off the power from the MCCB.
4. Remove wire harness plug from the spark plug coil bracket.

5. Remove the sparkplug coil bracket as shown. Before that, unscrew the bolts which securing the coil
bracket.
6. Remove the sparkplug coil bracket by pulling the bracket upwards.

8. Then remove the sparkplug by using a sparkplug wrench (16mm).
Valve clearance
1. Remove the piping from the top of the engine.

2. Use crocodile plier to untighten the hose clip.

3. Remove the cap nut located at the engine rocker arm cover. (22mm wrench)
4. After removing the cap nut, pull the engine rocker arm cover upward to detach the cover from the
engine.

5. Turn the pulley until the needle is pointing the red mark on the pulley.

6. After turning the pulley, the valve is shown as follow.

The valve is numbered from the left, starting with 1 to 8. When the first red point is pointed at the
pointer, valve 1, 2, 3 and 5 cannot be turned. Valve 4, 6, 7 and 8 can be turned and therefore do the
valve clearance for valve 4, 6, 7 and 8 first.
7. Insert the thickness gauge to the back of the valve as shown in picture below.
 If the gap between is too big or too narrow, loosen the lock nut (14mm) and use a flat screw and
adjust the bolt. Adjust for all the 8 valves in the engine. After adjusting the valve, tighten the lock
nut to secure the gap.
Note: if the engine is cooled, the gap should be 0.25mm; if the engine is hot or warm, the
gap should be 0.45mm.

Replace Timing Belt

1. Loosed the screw as shown in the picture below.

2. Remove the brackets (2nos) as shown.

3. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. Loosen the knob to remove the
timing belt.

4. After replacing the timing belt, turn the knob clockwise to tighten the timing belt. Make sure the
timing belt is at the correct position. Align the timing belt to the left. The tension of the timing belt
should be 1670 – 1720 N for new belt. Use tension meter to measure.

5. Tighten the screw as shown in step 1 and put back the bracket on the both side (as shown in step 2).
Replace Oil Filter
1. Remove the old oil filter using filter wrench.
2. Wipe off the old oil stain from the oil filter holder.

3. Take out the oil filter and apply some oil onto the surrounding of the new oil filter.

4. Replace and tighten the oil filter.

Replace Air Filter
1. Remove the screw and the bracket of the air filter.

2. Pull out the air filter mounting from the unit.

3. Clean the dust cap and dust cap cover of the air filter before replacing the new air filter into the
mounting.
Note: The rubber should attach to the new air filter.

New Air Filter

4. Reinstall the dust cap and secure the mounting.

Replace Drain Filter
1. Remove 8 screws and 2 cover anchor bracket from the drain filter mold.

2. Remove the filter tray and replace the filter with new one. Before replacing, clean the tray.
Note: minimum 5 pieces of filters, maximum 8 pieces of filters.

3. Check the neutralizer, if needed, add in the neutralizer.

4. Replace the new packing and placed the cover onto it. Secure the drain filter by retightening the 8
screws and 2 cover anchor bracket as shown in step 1.
Replace Engine Oil
1. Withdraw all the oil from oil tank and divider.

2. Charge oil tank with 42 liters of new oil, 5 liters to sub tank and 3 liters to the engine.

Reset Engine Oil Use Time

1. Press S004 for 1 second.
2. Press S005 or S006 and browse to item number , then press S007.
3. Press S006 and press S007 for 1 second. The 7-segment will display .
4. After release S007, press again and the display will show .
