Fenced-in park for children and elderly. Integrated play equipment with appropriate soft fall material (grass, sand, etc.). Walking
path and seating with chess board pattern at the periphery. Exercise equipment for elderly where applicable.

Consistent materials, lighting and signage for

consistent look and feel.
Proposed “Rizalenyo Park” branding.

Designed for visibility (security), and accessibiity. Minimal landscaping

and robust materials for minimum maintenance.

Toilets and wash facilities are not provided -- available in adjacent

facilities.
Play Equipment
Options
Integrated play equipment is preferred to individual stand-alone pieces to increase
excitement and facilitate physical and social interaction. Physical and social play are
encouraged, where children can take turns and cooperate on various play activities.

Equipment selection is based on user’s age range, design, and space constraints. RPG
may opt to comission similar locally made equipment in lieu of original manifacturer for cost
considerations, subject to current playground safety standards EN1176.
Facilities for the
Elderly
Where appropriate, facilities for adults and the elderly are provided
in the parks. These facilities are selected with the needs of the
elderly in mind, such as limited mobility and reduced sight and
hearing.

Seating for quiet recreation and exercise equipment on a quieter

location near the entrance are provided for their use.
Shoulder Mobility Station. Users maintain/improve their range
of shoulder movement and strength by gripping the handle and
guiding it through the track in a circular motion. The range of
movement can be increased by the user bending their knees to
increase reach.
Leg Press Station. Suitable for both seniors and younger
people. For seniors, the step up aids in everyday activities such
as stepping onto a bus or walking up a staircase

Outdoor fitness equipment for seniors prioritize fall prevention and balance, and strength conditioning. Mobility equipment
and strength machines, and easy-to-use cardio equipment are selected for use by everyone, but most especially senior
citizens.
