POSITION : INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS OFFICIAL - KZN
CLOSING DATE : 12 DECEMBER 2023

An Internal Vacancy exists for an Industrial Relations Official in the Industrial Relations Division based in KZN.

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

To oversee labour-and industrial relations related matters;


To advice on labour-and industrial relations matters;
To support operational units on labour-and industrial relations related matters;
Representing the employer in negotiations and consultations with organized labour, subject to specific
mandates;
To chair disciplinary and grievance processes;
Minimizing misconduct in the workplace and manage and mitigate NBCPSS and CCMA risks;
Dealing with, inter alia, NBCPSS and CCMA processes and applications;
Representing the employer in court, the NBCPSS, the CCMA and other forums;

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

Grade 12
Relevant university degree or diploma will be advantageous;
Minimum of 3 years relevant IR experience preferably in the Private Security Sector;
Sound and comprehensive knowledge of South African labour legislation;
Extensive knowledge and experience of the functioning of the NBCPSS and CCMA;
Computer literacy;
Good interpersonal skills, communication and writing skills;
Language proficiency: English and one other South African language ( read, write and speak);
Accountability and independence;
Must have excellent presentation, writing, verbal communication and report writing skills.
Willing to work long hours when required.
Willing to travel.
Own reliable transport.
